  1. Been a bit of out of the loop cos haven’t felt well last week days, it was debated to release a statement. However I think it was collectively felt we wanted to illustrate the view shared by the fanbase as well, so paused it for now to get the survey out. It’s been great to be part of some really collective hard work by people over the last two, three weeks. We are getting there. Not perfect as you can see from the comments (valid) on here.
  2. Not necessarily clear though - how that translates to working hours. Could be more staff because reduction in hours elsewhere.
  3. Strikes me as effectively being used to pay for day to day costs of the club or paying owning transfer fees. One of the rumours was that the summer's spending was done on the provision Cannon was to be sold before 1st September, may be they thought they'd sell another too. To give any idea, our net current liabilities are £127m - that's some serious bills that need paying.
  4. Standard Brackley season - push above their weight, get to the playoff final, bottle it. Rinse and repeat.
  5. Huge game on Friday v London Lions. While Great Britain qualified for EUrobasket and look the best they have for a while with a full roster playing abroad including Ellis Quinn who is a superb prospect. However, the league is at crisis point again. The director of the league whom owns Sheffield Sharks accused the referees of racism towards his head coach. For the refs went on strike for a week and they have Canadian refs doing Sheffield games for the foreseeable future. At the same time, Basketball England (ie the FA) have taken the licence away from the clubs who running the existing league and have announced plans to start a new league from 26/27 with £15m American investments. It would bring around the third round of mysterious American investment. This is to the back ground of NBA now sniffing around Europe into creating their own league. Taking away some of Euroleague's strongest clubs and introducing Manchester City Basket etc. This is copying something they did in Africa but would cause a huge problem in Europe. Euroleague is one of European sports greatest spectacles and it's a real shame more don't see the scenes from the Belgrade, Athens derbies or Basket El Classico.
  6. Hmmm the safety net of the second parachute payment isn't so kind. Worth baring in mind that these 'results' are helped a lot by that.
  7. Anyone got any experience of Arlanda Stockholm airport? I arrive at 10pm in a week or so's time - unsure what terminal Ryanair land at? There's about four options to get into the city - the easiest Arlanda Express is a fortune. So trying to plan my route. Any help appreciated
  8. Double edge sword that - it's affected some clubs badly at the moment with multiple players leaving their clubs to play in this.
  9. You've identified me on the ground hopping thread already - I've had mates tell me to do a Football Tours agency
  10. As along as Rutland is swallowed up, I see they are making overtures to Lincs
  11. I should be earning commission off you Groby, that's two travel tips in a week
  12. Adidas that well known German sports brand too....
  13. The Eurostar sale right now is offering very good deals on things
  14. Mentioned before I am migraine sufferer - survived one a couple of weeks ago but seen then I have been struggling with headaches, I have been trying to avoid taking tablets to avoid a reliance on them but the last couple of days I have felt an exhuastion I have never had before. It's getting a bit frustrating as I have tried really hard to practice a good sleeping pattern etc and good diet recently but it's not getting any better - this morning I'd got a heavy headache. People are telling me just to be patient but its' getting to the point it's going to affect my running, work and social life.
  15. Well I’m coming down with something thr old runners flu coming into play
  16. https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/04593477/persons-with-significant-control He has at least 75% control of the shares - was revealed last year, its as good as Top's club - just obviously the money tap which supplies is connected to King Power.
  17. Looks like something out of 2025 Inbetweeners reboot
  18. Thinking of giving it a miss, keep the training going and hit some real long distance before coming back down then attack a half in the autumn
  19. Two weeks today - times this by ten for the derby!
  20. Some good progress here. 24.06 at Parkrun around a corner with three decent hills. Just need to get consistent around this time before pushing myself back into the 23s 5:25 split over 15k today. Might get out and do a half next week but may choose low and slow. We will see
  21. Probably mid table I’d hardly say he’s some incredible prospect but think you are being harsh. He won League 2 with Swindon. I did win the EFL Trophy with Salford (a club no one has done well at because the owners get too involved).
  22. Every chance Step 3 has four Leicestershire clubs next season Would be National League North for Harbs, personally think an immediate promotion might not be the greatest in terms of logistics, sometimes better to build the foundation stronger before hitting the levels where the pro clubs come in
  23. Be Harborough at some point. Get a bit more creativity in their side and they’d fly. Quorn without wishing to be rude know their scale and they’ve had one excellent period already in living memory which means they’ve built a good foundation. Still think there’s scope for one of the teams in the city boundaries to play higher up but it just ain’t clicked there. Aylestone Park have spent some serious money but keep cocking it up. They’d do well to look at getting a manager in from higher up rather than picking from step 6.
  24. Non league proving it’s not utopia many say it is. Was stood next to Halesowen fans when it kicked off in stand. Mouthy lads from harborough who twice tried to get a reaction and eventually got it. Cue Harborough players running over and saying all sorts with no idea of what happened. EDIT: this isn’t a dig at harborough, as it’s a problem at a lot of well attended non segregated non league games Piss poor game ruined by the wind but good crowd of 1k and fair play to Harborough getting the goal back against the wind.Game woke up at the end and both teams missed great chances Harbs into the playoffs but 8 behind Bedford now for top spot. Going to be a fking pain when it’s the crypto boys making the National League
