  1. I know Gibneys in London doing it. Along with a load of other Irish boozers down there. Might struggle outside of the main cities yet. Ship and Mitre Liverpool
  2. Really good podcast on this by Libero discussing how clubs are fully on with the documentary type stuff but it has zero fly on the wall nature. LCFC did one for Hannah Cain which was very good.
  3. There's a slight difference here though to industry norm. Whelan's career is indebted to Vichai and the family. She has a loyalty which is deeper than a workplace. My gut is that she felt the need to be 'in the room' for their sakes and obviously that's changed in the last twelve months with Top getting his status downgraded in the family business. The indications are that the family have stepped away from the club. I don't think playing side decisions were her issue and I think the ex players and Nige commenting say a lot from that perspective. The incompetency of the DoF meant she had to blur the lines of her role. The sales of Maguire and Fofana tell us that. There is a list of bad decisions on the non-playing stuff which deserves significant criticism. My take as well is that Whelan understood fans concerns better than anyone and was more approachable to fans, fan groups and understood footballing culture. However I don't know if it makes it worse if she understood the problems with the non-playing side and failed to action them or rather she was eroded down by the culture led by others (sometimes being pulled away and stepping into areas she was supposed to have no say into). Safe Standing is one example which was a disaster with her involvement but then there are examples where she stepped in to make things happen for supporters et al. I think the best compliment you can give Whelan is that on the football side of the things, she's never had the gumption to be front face in post victory celebrations. She recognises the team are the worthy part of that. Yet often bad news was always communicated or announced by her.
  4. Yeah. Next set is out around first week of November - I think goes from FA Cup Third Round until end of Feb but can't remember 100%
  5. Think it will sell quick personally. Chizzits love a weekend away in Norfolk
  6. I think it’s easy to dismiss his point but you only to look at the way Coventry played against us to realise he has a point. The other clubs hate it when one of the relegated clubs start getting consistent
  7. Got my ticket for Trent Bridge Day 1, 3rd Test v NZ. Hopefully snatch one for The Oval. Probably target Southampton & Edgbaston for the Ashes Leaving just Old Trafford as the only test ground yet to visit
  8. Excellent signing that. Good bloke too.
  9. Well no because Hammond and Benjamin came from English football. Carranza isn’t and that’s half of his issue
  10. I might be. I’m just not writing the fella off yet. Don’t really get the Benjamin comparison
  11. Fixtures confirmed in Serie A until January now
  12. 21 league games or in real minutes, 9 games in Netherlands is hardly the transitional foundation for a player going from N.America/S.America to Europe. Feyenoord might had plans on bringing him on a bit more this season until other circumstances jumped in.
  13. Didn't know whether to put it in the non-league or here but went Kidsgrove Athletic on Saturday. Lovely little ground, good food, two bars. Stalybridge were decent opposition and brought a fair few. Proper non-league really.
  14. Marinakis' issue isn't managerial necessarily. It's that he's picked a DoF who has a very shady relationship with one particular agent. Therefore expect a constant theme of manager gets annoyed with DoF / owner.
  15. Where I have some sympathy with Ange is that Forest were shite under Nuno for a prolonged period. They finished last season with 2 wins in 8 or 8 points from 24. Expanded that out to this season it was 3 in 11 under Nuno. 12 points from a possible 33. The rot has been in for a while.
  16. I had a little breakthrough yesterday. Been a real up and down year - injuries, fatigue, probably too much lifting so the weight has gone on. This training cycle for Leics half - I am doing with my brother. The aim for sub 2 hours which admittedly is a bit heartbreaking to myself considering I've managed 1:51. He lives around Groby/Ratby way and its's very hilly around there. He's been quite harsh on himself with times and I said it will come together. Yesterday we did 15k before the final long one next weekend - after climbing largely around Kirby Muxloe. We managed 5.44/km with a trend going downwards. Even had a New Walk esque finish into Groby. I am running the 18k in Belgium next week - really interested to see it being flat as a pancake makes that much of a difference.
  17. Hinchcliffe given Ipswich’s squad a good rimming this arvo
  18. Ricky P red card v Birmingham
  19. He looks every bit of a player who’s coming to a different footballing culture and style. A different speed and tempo.
  20. If we are conceding he makes the team better, now is the time to give him a good run of five to six starts and see where he’s at then.
  21. There’s a deep concern with me that we have a pattern very similar to t minus 1 season Rodgers exit here. We are hideously low on xG. Every team is out scoring us on that (yeah today has a big skewing) but we are incredibly reliant on individuals talent
  22. On the penalty, there is absolutely no reason why Faes is diving in. The Swansea player is running out of room. He’s got to play a 1 in 100 cross from that position. Absolutely idiotic give the referee any chance to give a penalty
  23. The reduction in council services defo had impact on this. New Parks Boulevard in Leicester had all the grassed areas cut regularly. Now for the past umpteenth years, it’s all overgrown
  24. World is mad. Israel publically inviting Tommy Robinson as a guest of their government
  25. In amongst this, the only party leader what has any ****ing sense is Zack Polanski (Davey to a point). As a leftie like myself, he's been largely superb in most interviews over the last couple of weeks. Some of his stuff this morning as a Jewish person from Manchester was nuanced and clearly delivered.
