We had PSR and we still signed Oliver Skipp for £20 million

The Running Thread (formerly How fast can you run a 5k?)
CosbehFox replied to Sly's topic in General Chat
Must have been in a good mood as decided to give Hastings High School Parkrun a second visit. Must be one of the more mentally draining Parkrun routes (well until 20th September when it returns to the old route). Given the grass was like concrete compared to the mud bath before. I understandably shaved nearly a minute on my PB around there -
Went Bourne v Shepshed. Completed that division and a very decent ground at Bourne in nice surroundings. 0-0. both sides very similar in quality and rhey missed a hatful of chances between them including a penalty for Shepshed. Harborough gotta go to Leek for a replay. Barwell out, beat 4-2 by Alvechurch. Quorn whacked Sherwood 8-0. In come the Step 2 clubs now

Well on the assist, he picked the ball up and drove twenty yards with it. Which is what he didn’t do at Charlton
-
Disagree with that. Was playing far too deep v Charlton and lost the ball in bad places. They had a decent chance in the first half. Last night he was occupied a Birmingham CB which made them go man for man at the back.

We got rid of the Danes to go sexier with the Swedes
-
In addition wheb I watched him played, he’s looked a decent personality as well.

LCFC 2-0 Birmingham, post-match thread

Birmingham in their previous games hasnt shown really any redeeming features to suggest they are going to be up there bar thirty minutes on opening day. A Blues fan I worked with said he had really concerns over their lack of physicality and two centre backs which are rigid. By comparison, Coventry are scoring for fun and West Brom are a bit like us in being difficult. Stoke are bobbing along nicely. Then youve got Ipswich and Saints who will get better when their new players settle down. Millwall are decent and make really under the radar signings. Sheffield United still have the recipe to be successful. They are your direct competitors for me -
Fan Zone Trial Begins At King Power Stadium
CosbehFox replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
Club don’t want the hassle, they put the catering contract out and it’s gone to an American supplier. And that supposedly includes the fan zone outlets and the vans around the ground. They have no desire to be the best in show IMO. I don’t exaggerate when i say thete are non league clubs with better offerings in this area. Personally I think as a whole we really lack a fan culture in Leicester that would support something simply independently. Annoyingly Forest have a couple of these sort of things ran by a local brewery. If only someone could get hold of an industrial unit off Freemans Common and do a proper job -

Personally disagree. We haven’t played anyone who I’d consider be in top six yet. The test comes with Cov and West Brom -
He played 177 minutes and a good percentage of that was playing in the last day rubber with Chelsea If any justification was needed for the stick, it was when at the final whistle he went up to Monga with his hand over his mouth and chatted to him for a good minute or so. Can only manage what daft waffle was coming out

I’ve held a long belief we function better as a club as an underdog. Given our very obvious financial situation, there’s hint of that about us now -
The celebrations to the goals felt loud

Penny dropping on me that in a world of shite FFP that success is very difficult to achieve but winning football games with homegrown players is the endorphins hit that somehow sticks the shitty side of football in the bin for a couple of days -
Walked past. Like micro pub vibes about eight or nine in there
-
Good weekend down the pub for him lined up
-
I’ve soften after being told he’s one of the few senior pros whom likes the manager and is being good with the younger lads etc
-
Watched him in the derby live back in April, big, strong holds it well and brings the wingers into the game. Don’t expect speed or a channel run. Decent enough without being great
-
I didn’t think many away supports could be as bad if not worse than ours but well done Birmingham. For a club with a reputation, that was up there with one of the worst all time away ends
-
Personally love standing on it

Birmingham (H) | Fri 29-Aug | 20:00 KO | Sky

I know it’s more nuanced but I do laugh at LCFC fans whom have issues with PSR yet think Brum & Wrexham are hated -
Kiev play in Krakow, so a decent trip
-
Personally delighted Forest haven’t got any trips thete I’d be jealous. They will have to play Betis in the shitty Olympic Seville Stadium Can’t wait for Ferencvaros and Utrecht to chase their Garybaldi lads all over the place

Because when do the higher effort training it normally means using your preferred starting XI in positions you have selected while also focusing on pressing patterns based on the weaknesses of the opposition. Literally teams have graduates in their analysis team trying to find anything out like this
