The protests have been ongoing for 15 months. I haven’t seen anyone suggesting the owners would just drop out like that. I don’t think they have choosed to restructure at board level without the protests. The West Brom attendance in particular stung them. Wasn’t a great look. I look at comparable clubs what have made drops down to the third tier and now on an upward curve. Coventry, Sunderland and Derby, all of them required ownership change before they began to really succeed in return back to a level. Sad thing for me is comparing ourselves to those clubs. Because if I take the year I was born of 1988, I reckon we must be one of 5 clubs that has won every major domestic trophy within that period. The legacy of those years should be that this club is a firm top flight fixture in a city which is within 10 biggest of the country and has a huge catchment area. That nous and sustainable ambition can’t match the latter angers because of the impact it has on employment, economy and the city. Anyway I’ve rambled there but I needed to

Really interesting this

Shoemakers is another one which is absolutely incredible it still exists

Probably helped that all the sports pitch’s at Western Park are on that side of the park. I’ve been after playing footy on a Sunday morning

The Frog Island crawl included as many 6 pubs The Sportsman is still on Park Rise opposite Western Park and you have the social club, that’s it. There’s a handful in Brauny and Brauny Frith. You right on drinking culture. When I lived in South Brum, your flat roofers were semi regular still. ****ing frightening some of them though

Gets the crowds in for what is normally a poorly attended fixture but other counties do prioritise it as a pre season tournament because it’s the same sort of opposition they’d play regardless
-
Yep totally this - whilst also getting onto LCFC to field an U21s side. The Birmingham FA Senior Cup for example has all of the West Mids clubs entering U21s times.

I’m not sure he’s in that role any more His daughter was on insta at Huddersfield the other week saying she was off to her dad at work

Sandstorm wasn’t the song though Adagio for Strings by Tiesto is the clip from the documentary -
Or the bloke’s interest in management has completely disappeared and this was one last job (that’s been mentioned to me)

There was a tiny car park on the side but no more then 5 cars or so

Moved back to the area now but I’ll be amazed if the Forresters last. It used to have the following going for it:- 1) All the working factories around there for finish time 2) People used to use it as a warm up before going in Town when that nightlife culture existed 3) It used to do well attracting sporting clubs who played on St Margaret’s Pastures like the hockey teams playing there or even the odd visiting cricket team at Abbey Park. All traditions lost. They will have to work incredibly hard to get it running well

Managed to get a ticket for Brann but the ticketing process was bringing back PTSD for the Euro draw flight booking days

Coventry United up to Step 4. Ironically set up as an alternative to Cov City when they started playing in Northampton. Also Real Cryptoford staying at Step 3 is superb

1:59:01 for me today, delighted with that given training been way off and life being crap. Good event. Three really challenging parts of the course. Whilst the finale isn’t quite New Walk, the haul up Moor Street is tough. Crowds were great. Manchester in October now. With an eye towards a test in Sheffield 2027 -
Boat crossings down 42% this year on the same period last year. Weather be a factor in that but the Times article reporting a number of other reasons too

Just remember though their fanbase was split for at least three years over Chansiri. Their Trust was called inactive and then called too militant. Even now some of their fans have a chip on their shoulder about the role they played. We are a little further behind them. But it’s taken a long time for Wednesday to be united again and their fans responded too late given points deductions etc

Great Birmingham Run for me on Sunday. Life’s ****ing heavy at the moment. So no expectation. Just take the chance to run around the city I lived in for eight years. Very early start of before 9am. Think performance be very weather dependent -
What the **** happened at the Oval?

We are at a war of ideologies amongst football fans currently. I think lcfc is a successful win for the new style of football fan

Mjallby was the equilavant of Bournemouth winning the league though. Malmo made some noise when I saw them at AIK so should be good!

That’s not short sighted with a year left on Nelson’s contract. If he’s not showing any intent on signing a new deal, we have to let go.
