those of us at "Club Captain" status can only live in hope of reaching such heights!!

"prices still going up, just not as fast"...... since inflation skyrocketed, prices are at least 20% higher across the board.... that's a crazy hike in prices for people to absorb in such a short space of time.

we can all hope and pray!

until the government decide to pass some legislation to say that they were in fact correct and the court was wrong.

I genuinely think we need a nationalised Rail & Bus Service. it's no longer we are heavily reliant on cars when the trains and buses are SO expensive and horrendously inadequate.

Got our new BMW I4 being delivered on Thursday. Heading into a brave new world of EV driving.

Ultimately, it's pretty much exactly the same move he made coming to Leicester if he goes to Villa isn't it? A team fighting for Europe and for trophies and he is likely to be a back up to the main striker. He'll earn a decent wedge there i'm sure.

you may well be right.... i've never seen a house look MORE like a footballers house though. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/146360855#/?channel=RES_BUY

Daka's house is currently up for sale, so I suspect a deal is already in the offing to go somewhere.

I'm not crying. YOU'RE crying....

be that as it may, they will be banking on a low turnout in an autumn election. That, coupled with the university students being at new addresses and potentially not being registered to vote, could lead to a scenario where they don't do as badly as everyone thinks. Regardless of your political persuasion, it's hugely important to get out and vote at the General Election and have your voice heard.

Make your mind up. Which is it???

Just plugged this into a pension calculator for you and it's a pot of around £500,000 assuming 4% year on year growth
-
That's exactly what he meant. For our generation, all of our pension will be a defined contribution pot, so it's all about building up a dig enough pot of cash to be able to draw down (spend) in retirement. No such thing as final salary pensions for us unfortunately.
-
As a general rule, at the point you start your pension saving, you should be saving half your age as a contribution. So start at 20... 10%, start at 30... 15% etc. as it stands, with what you are doing, you are well on your way to a healthy retirement pot. I get 20% a year into mine and I'm hopeful of a sensible pot when I retire. If you are concerned, I'd genuinely speak to a Financial Advisor. They can be worth their weight in gold.

Development/Youth Squads 2023/2024 Thread - U18/U21

from what I saw, he was never going to be good enough to be a regular in a side with our ambitions. Same can be said for McAteer and Wanya-Marcal. If he has been released, then good luck to him in building a career, I wish him all the best, but I suspect he will be a league one player / lower end championship player at the very best. -
ALL ABOARD!!!!!

Favourite ever LCFC Left back for me.
-
no way on earth is he a Man Utd Player..... or ata least.... the Man Utd of old.... I think he'd find himself very surplus to requirements within 18 months.
-
I wouldn't worry too much, his house is up for sale, so I assume he is off in the summer.
-
absolutely. But there is also a £1bn difference in the direct cost to the NHS.
-
Alcohol costs the NHS an estimated £3.5 billion per year in England and costs an estimated £21 billion per year to society. Smoking is estimated to cost the NHS £2.5 billion every year, equivalent to 2% of the health service's budget I'm assuming you'd all be happy to have Alcohol banned to save the NHS money and charge anyone who drinks alcohol for NHS usage?? I used to be a smoker (technically, probably still am as I vape as a replacement now) and i'm not really a drinker either..... I'll occasionally have a pint every few months.... I don't disagree with banning smoking per se.... but it's very draconian.
-
Same could be said for alcohol. It can lead to Liver Cancer, Throat Cancer, makes you smell like a brewery the day after and poisons you to the point that you feel physically sick. More than that it also impairs judgement and effects your motor abilities so that you can't walk straight or drive a car. It's also very expensive these days. People become addicted to it and it impairs their ability to be a normal functioning part of society. I'm relatively sure no-one has ever assaulted someone off the back of smoking too many cigarettes.

Albert Einstein wrote four of his most famous papers whilst working as a Patent Officer in Switzerland and doing Physics in his "Spare Time".... at the time he couldn't even get a job as a physics teacher.
