  1. I had half of a front tooth knocked out recently. First time I've been to the dentist in years.
  2. Seen on Instagram
  3. I need some help.
  4. First time I've been for a while and I said to my mate I thought the pitch looked poor, was really slowing the ball down.
  5. I really like that he's Captain, too. He could be playing CL football somewhere else if things had gone well for him, but he's still here bossing it in a new role and being a model pro. What a bloke.
  6. They were horrific. Imagine travelling the country for that. You can see why they cheered quite early on when they made a few passes. We executed our game play to a tee. First half was frustrating as they actually defended well but you knew as soon as we came out 2nd half that we would win, it was just a matter of time. Merry Christmas one and all.
  7. Hope you're doing OK, @HighPeakFox I sometimes come in here and don't really know what to say, but I guess as long we show up that's what matters. In years gone by I've always had a mixture of feelings over Christmas for a variety of reasons. I love the Christmas period and I think sometimes my expectations and the unintended pressure I put on myself to have a good time ends up leaving me feeling down if something isn't quite as I hoped. That, and I probably get in my head about it all too much as well. Which is something I'm learning to manage but always a challenge.
  8. Christ alive. Poor bloke. Hard to imagine how much anger and pain he must've gone through over the years.
  9. Had a couple pints of a lovely 6% German festive porter last night at my favourite pub. Annoyingly can't remember the name.
  10. Bit of wind today and the trains have gone to absolute shit
  11. ****ing mental when you see it all written down, never mind how crazy Al of those things were
  12. One of the biggest cons football clubs have now is paying money just to be on a list that means you can buy tickets should they drop that far. Fortunately I know a few ST holders and can get the odd ticket that way, but I refuse to pay for membership. Appreciate UFS raising it.
  13. I'm inclined to agree. Was expecting worse from reading the thread. I think a red would've been harsh.
  14. I have a 57 plate (Mark 5) 1.6 FSI. 105k on the clock. Bought 6 years ago on 60K. I think that's an absolute steal and you are lucky not to be paying twice as much On a serious note, obviously the engine is different but mine still runs well and I can easily get 45 mpg if I'm on the motorway, which for a car that's 17 years old I think is pretty good. I haven't had any significant issues. I know someone who did 300k in one, I think that was a mark 4 TDI fwiw.
  15. Got myself Spotify premium yesterday. I didn't realise there was such a drop off in quality on the free service. Wired in on my over ears I'm hearing a fair bit more detail - it's a bit like falling in love with the songs again.
  16. Lovely graphic but how many of those are actually his fault?
  17. Watched Parasite on Netflix yesterday, thought it was pretty good. Pacing was good, plot was really interesting, good acting and well shot. Always a bit funny watching something that there is a very strong opinion on though as expectations try as you might are bound to affect your perception somewhat. Watched a film called the Card Counter with Oscar Isaac and Tiffany Haddish last week and would definitely not recommend that. It was shot interestingly but it was painfully slow in general. The key relationships between the 3 main characters were formed very suddenly in complete contrast to how things moved and it just felt poorly done to me.
  18. What I'd like to know is how anyone can be bothered enough to find and make a cut up highlights video, but get the crop job on a still image so badly wrong.
  19. It's some dude doing it to random people. Keep seeing clips pop up.
  20. I bet going into a gig like that blind was awesome. I hadn't realised they'd released a new album so that was new for me which was cool. I've seen them twice before but that was definitely the most I'd enjoyed seeing them as I hadn't been thinking too much about it and very much got lost in the music when I was there. Nothing beats them live.
  21. Enjoyed the jacket potato and animal names sections, think I looked a bit weird laughing so much to myself on the train.
  22. How odd. A couple of years ago I was walking to work and I saw a bloke, quite possibly homeless, fall over and spill his coffee. Seconds later he picked up a rock and bombed it through the window of a car parked on the side of the road and then kept walking. Anger, eh...
  23. @The Year Of The Fox in the airport terminal...
  24. British culture normalises drinking so much its wild, I'm often surprised hearing what people consider to be normal. It's no wonder many find it hard to cut down and that going cold turkey is the solution for so many - there is so much temptation. I usually have a single beer or a glass of wine with dinner and once or twice a month I'm out having a few beers, 5/6 tends to be the point where I stop. I would find it hard to go a month without drinking, which makes me uneasy if I'm honest, but it isn't the end of the world health wise and I've a pretty healthy diet in general.
  25. Phoned my sister in Oz one night in October at home after a few scoops after work. Thought I WhatsApp called. I didn't. I now owe EE £190. What a fcking plum.
