  1. Yeah, I find most people think it's a good idea. If they don't then to be frank, fvck them, why does it matter?
  2. Sorry to hear of your friends problem. She is far from the only one, I've read a few stories of the same issue. Unfortunately there are a decent number of small traders who don't understand building physics and/or couldn't give a toss about people so long as they make some money. I could be wrong but I don't believe the government ever encouraged use of this type product. I received an email about this stuff years ago being advertised as eco something. It is nothing of the sort and shouldn't be anywhere near any buildings.
  3. I am in a similar boat to you in that respect in that I take steps to try and prevent me from being hungover, but per unit of alcohol I'm sure the hangovers are worse when I don't take those steps. I think that is the point being made.
  4. The whole of China is a dump..?
  5. Housing Minister Rachel MacClean sacked. Tories now on their 16th housing minister since 2010
  6. Somebody warn Piglet
  7. Saw Explosions In The Sky in the Albert Hall in Manchester last week - bloody incredible.
  8. This made me laugh, I'm reminded of that two footed tackle, think it was Perez wasn't it...
  9. Sounds Trumpian does this...
  10. What a bizarre reference.
  11. I'm not looking forward to it if we do go up but it is all about the implementation. Refs need clearer guidelines for when and when not to use it, and teams need to be advised accordingly ao that we don't have players screaming for VAR all the time. Refs need to be mic'd as well. I think it would help fans understand the process better and it would make them more accountable. Should also help in reducing the grief they get from players.
  12. I still think 4 years for Hamza was too long though. We couldn't shift him before and he isn't really the kind of player you want starting in the PL week in week out. If we go up and stay up, by the summer of 25 we'll be struggling to shift him I reckon.
  13. That's fair enough, I guess I just wouldn't call that a 1-2-1 specifically unless you're going out of your way to sit down formally and review certain things. That's just talking to your colleagues.
  14. I can understand every 6 months, but monthly appraisals is overkill/management for the sake of management imo.
  15. I never used to be bad but it's gotten quite bad since covid I think.
  16. Luck had it at 433. Stroud got 455 today. Buzzing with the Ravens result, another dominant win over an NFC division leader. Huge rushing performance with a new name to add to our rotation after rookie Keaton Mitchell goes for 138 and a TD on 9 carries.
  17. We're pretty good at this level.
  18. People getting trains who can't wait for you to get off and don't give you any room to get off. I really just don't understand the rush to get on when most of the time there is plenty of room for everyone.
  19. What I read was that they used computers to strip audio fro the original cassette recording so they could then have cleaner to audio to mix as with any new song. I think this the element of "AI" that's being referred to, it's not like they've just invented something Lennon never actually sang. That said it wouldn't surprise me to see what you've described happen.
  20. I saw an example of being used in France recently where it showed what the VAR man said to the ref and you could hear what the ref was saying. It was deployed exactly as intended and corrected an incorrect decision for a pen. It's all about implementation and unfortunately we have made an absolute arse of it here.
  21. Got cracked by a hockey stick in our game today, currently missing half of one of my front teeth.
  22. I never really liked him, I can't really remember what first made me think he was a bit of a nob but seeing how he handled the Beckham thing definitely confirmed my opinion.
  23. I think we'll lose another 2, possibly 3. One will be to a good team buy I suspect there'll be a shock loss or 2 along the way where we just have an off day.
  24. Yeah, I did think hearing that he surely can't be so niave to think thousands (if not millions) of people do that every day for shit money.
  25. I loved Drinky, I was gutted when he went. Listening to the podcast is like a cautionary tale of exactly how not to deal with being a successful footballer, but I also think that a lot of people forget the human side of it. I'm not going to be crying him a river, but I think there are a lot of lads who grow up in academies and at some point get thrust in to the spotlight of the PL and then get ruthlessly cast aside a short time later. He's far from the only player at Chelsea, Man City & Man United recently who has been bought for tens of millions, only to become cannon fodder for the next manager. I don't imagine mentally that that is easy to deal with and it seems with DD the passion/commitment/enjoyment simply wasn't there. Clearly Drinky struggled where others have done a better job and it does sound like he probably hasn't fully accepted his own role in it all, but I was struck by his reference to being angry and not being able to deal with things very well emotionally. It strikes me as a plight I think many young men probably struggle with. The only difference is no-one is paying attention to your average bloke going to a job he hates and deal with complicated life stuff because he isn't earning an obscene amount of money. It's a shame it all went so tits up for him after he left.
