I couldn’t watch that with my normal level of concentration as I have a job that I’d like to keep but it looked to me like we were ready to concede with every one of their attacks. Am I being harsh?

I’d also like to point out that we’re only 4 points off top 4.

You realise we finished above Everton, Westham and Spurs in both of the last two seasons, right? We also won the FA Cup last season, and the charity shield this. Those things don’t happen if you’re an average side. Any team can go on a bad run but only really good sides have as much success as we have had over the last 24 months or so. We’re a very good football team when we get it right. Have some faith.

I would have agreed with you 100% a few weeks ago. But having seen how good we can be on Saturday and seeing how crap United are I believe we can get top 4 this season. We’ve been there for 95% of the last two seasons - we’re a very good side. We’ve just had a slow start. Go for the league always!

They won 5-0 in second gear against a shit Watford side. We had a hell of a battle for 91 minutes on Saturday and we’ve got a smaller squad. And we’ve had more injuries. We need to make some changes to keep it fresh.

God knows what we do here. I don’t want Evans to play because I’m selfish and I want him to be fit on Sunday as I’m going to the game. But we need to win if we’re going to win this group. We could play a back three of Amartey Vestergaard and Syoncu with Albrighton at RWB and Thomas LWB to allow Evans, Ricardo and Castagne the night off. But I fear we’d be too weak and get turned over. Also, that would mean we couldn’t play either Barnes or Lookman meaning we’d then play at least one of Ihenacho or Vardy with Daka which would mean one of them wouldn’t get a rest. oh god I need a lie down. It’s a tough job being a football manager 😂

He was 1000x better today. There are still things to improve on for sure but he’s getting there. He’ll get a goal and then it’ll come.

If they want to pay £16m in compensation then more fool them (that’s not to say I don’t rate BR but no manager is worth that) If they do then I fear he’ll walk. I really hope that he is truly happy at City. I think we all love him and appreciate what he’s done for us - despite his flaws. I think those of us with half a brain realise that we won’t do any better than BR and he can and already has brought us success. Sadly we do live in a world where a country can buy a failing football club and then poach a manager from one of the best run football clubs in the world. It is what it is. We can’t compete with a $300billion fund. If he leaves us for Newcastle and we end up getting someone in who won’t improve us (which is a given based on my earlier point) I’m not sure I’ll want to continue with following the foxes. I love my club and I’m proud to support them. But what’s the point if our success is cut short by the rich clubs. We’ve over performed in a world full of bigger fish for years but this may be one battle we can’t win.

I don’t get why he took Hamza off. I understand that he hasn’t played many matches but he was brilliant today and then he goes off and we concede. I can excuse Rogers for signing Bertrand and Vestergaard. The latter was signed as disparate cover and the former was signed to bring in experience. Neither player will feature when we have a fully fit squad. But why change a winning side so early? There was so much time to hang on today without a recognised CDM on the pitch once he took Hamza off. I really don’t get it.

Why anyone on here is criticising Hamza I’ll never know. He was absolutely superb. He battled and pressed them like crazy, won several tackles and generally made a nuisance of himself. He even went from CDM to ring winger at one point which was brilliant. You need to give up on football if you can’t see that he had a good game.

Both the ex Southampton lads can fuch off back down south as far as I’m concerned. How Bertrand ever won a CL I do not know.

Vestergaard is awful. He’s the slowest footballer I think I’ve ever seen but then he wants 20 minutes on the ball when it’s just not on. He’s reasonably reliable under a high ball but that’s about it. Palace came out second half with a plan to play balls in behind him and expose his lack of pace and it worked. Both of their goals were jammy but they deserved it. We really are awful this season. Shout out to all the fans in the away end today, we were great.

Has to start every game and play the full 90 as much as physically possible.

I’ve put a tenner on palace to beat us as part of a 5 fold acca. That way if we win I’ll be buzzing and £40 down (ticket plus bet) and if we lose I might just be £510 up. Would I take us losing again tomorrow if it meant me winning £510 off a £10 stake? Hmmmmmmm

Racism is racism. Just because they shout theirs loudly and we mutter ours under our breath or via Twitter doesn’t make it any different. It’s all a disgusting plague on society and we’re not beyond judgment.

There are clear audible boos at the KP when players take the knee. As Gareth Southgate said, who are we to judge other countries when ours is just as bad.
