Waiting for it, we might need a new forum, if foxes talk are on a leash from the club.
-
Not a huge surprise, Top loves that way of playing, and our fan base claim we have no "identity" unless we play this way. So peer pressure won out, Ruud also has made the point he talks to Enzo. Ruuds only win remains the west ham game where we played good counter.
-
Still seems to be some fairy tale dreams going on, to show how big the gap is, to the league Enzo managed us in last season, lets look at the QPR result.
-
There is players who didnt respect Cooper, thats on them. Cant look at them just based on one game. We were on track for survival early on, not just on results, but it felt like we were in every game. Yes it wasnt pretty football (identity?), but pretty football isnt important, results are.
-
Probably 19th, possibly 20th, under Ruud we playing more like we would have under Enzo and PPG nosedived, Ruud's 1 win was a back to the wall counter game. On the flip side, I am not sure we would be out the bottom 3 with Cooper, as Cooper looked like he was losing control of the squad, his early relegation avoiding performances he looked like he was struggling to get the players to buy into it.
-
They wouldnt even bat an eyelid now. We do need that type of manager given the current regime and squad, results means more than performances, but fans wont accept that type of manager.
-
He did it in another recent game as well.
-
If KP still owned the club they could maybe sack Top, but Top is now the majority owner, its depressing. If he is hungry, he isnt showing it.
-
I dont blame Ruud, its not his fault the ownership looked for the wrong qualities in a manager, and he was right Cooper shouldnt have got fired based on results. But still he hasnt had enough games yet, so I am not on a out bandwagon. We cant be sacking managers every couple of months, and then ignore the DoF, CEO and owner.
-
I remember Enzo constantly subbing him then bad things happening soon afterwards when he did it.
-
Claiming Cooper built the current squad, last I checked, he didnt sign over 25 players.
-
I think the post is a bit bonkers, our PPG has nose dived since Cooper left, one would think people would recognise maybe it wasnt all Cooper's fault after all, and now he apparently built the squad? We barely scoring now, which we were at least doing under Cooper. I dont really blame Ruud, he hasnt even had 10 games yet, the issues are all above the manager for me.

Did top make it to 90 mins this time?

Agree with this, hes our best midfielder right now, and I am thinking has he improved or has the rest of the squad dropped below his level? -

Its a lack of cutting edge in the final 3rd, combination of quality and poor decision making, also in the palace game first half we kept trying to go left way too much, which makes it easier to defend if you keep trying same thing. Feels odd we bringing in defenders when we need someone who can break defences, probably someone to replace fatawa for rest of season. Also another striker. Ultimately though the run of results is really bad, and I feel not unexpected, however with how our fans were with style of play I expect most are happy now we have more posession even though we losing more games. -
More nonsense from the womens game, if they move to the English league system. they need to start at the bottom of the pyramid.

I know they worse, and I will say it again, its madness. We fund player development, with no assurances of benefiting from the few good ones. Cheaper to scrap it, and just poach players from smaller clubs academies instead which is what we seem to be doing anyway. Other sports have similar to what I described and havent ran foul of employments laws, basically a "first dibs" return for funding sporting development.
-
Why would I run an academy under those terms? Its bonkers.
-
Waiting for 1 Feb. Window ending 3rd.
-
Thats just financial compensation though, I think they need changing to that if the club that owns the academy offers a contract the player either has to sign it or is not allowed to sign any contract for another club at all until they are 25. In other words club has the right to first dibs, and the player cannot refuse 5 years or less, so as to avoid silly 1 year contracts.

Some time back someone posted a quote of the PSR rules which stated reduced PSR applies if the "season before" was in the championship, so last season we still would have had the EPL quotas as daft as it sounds, however obviously I dont vouch for the accuracy of that quote or for my interpretation. However this would also mean our second season in the EPL assuming we stay up would have the reduced limit as it would include this season's reduced quota. So rather than escaping it, its just a kick the can down the road.
