  1. Looking at how we play, its clear he values way of playing over what is needed to get results. This is naivety and so I am struggling to back him. Reminds me of Enzo and Rodgers. But those two at least had some credit in the bank with results (and Trophy in Rodgers case).
  2. Prices would probably go down a bit with expansion, they high because they trying to maximise revenue out of a limited stadium, there is no question it needs expanding. But I think its not happening under KP now. They havent the will anymore. Council has some blame here as well, by not playing ball for so long, they made the mistake that the hunger would remain there for infinity.

  4. That may be, but it doesnt mean Top and his family want to spend above their current levels. It happens. Southampton had same issue, the owner who loved the game passed away, his family didnt have the same love (but still had money) let the club decline. Sometimes you see it with existing owners where they make a change in what they are prepared to fund. Usually the way to hide it from fans if they not being up front about it would be to make bids for players, but the bids repeatedly dont come to fruition, gives the impression they trying when there was never an intention, PSR provides a glorious front for it now though.
  5. Sales of KDH and Barnes. Barnes had the making of a striker in my view, lot of his goals were on the break and in the corner of net. People always say big money sales are prudent, can replace them, I have never been convinced by that. Include Maddison and thats 3 proven quality attacking players.
  6. Thats the best time to buy, as it lowers the value, however KP would want a kings ransom, and Seagrave would be a mandatory part of the package adding circa 100 million. So we wont be an attractive club to buy. Financial issues seem mainly centred around idiotic contracts so hopefully would be cleared up as they expire/cancelled. I wouldnt be surprised if dodgy accounting is uncovered by some future owner, as its in the owners interest possibly for the club to make losses.
  7. When you consider PSR its a complete disaster. Liverpool get a academy star for lets say 500k. 10 years later, the combined loan fees and sale fee might net them say 20-50 million.
  8. Forest fans are saying how their team defends well and counters like a beast, which is what won us a title, we went the wrong way on football ideology. Frustrating not because its Forest, but because we had previously mastered it. Likewise Bournemouth and co using a system to scout and sign players that Pearson had setup with Walsh, which has since been dismantled. Even Pep admitted that way of playing relies on teams being scared of you, it falls apart once they dont fear you. The master of it said it himself.
  9. The big what if, what if we made the CL. Would players have become more hungry? Would contracts have got extended? I feel like it would have delayed our decline, which ironically might have been enough to keep us in the EPL, considering how the EPL is looking more like a closed shop now, we basically got relegated the season before it became very hard to get relegated, but who knows. Wolves would be as good as gone if this was even a few years ago, Palace crazy start might have not had a recovery either, but now even lower mid table teams are almost assured 14-18 points against promoted clubs now due to the bigger gap.
  10. Yep, which is why people are calling Top out now, if Top stays, both of them stay.
  11. I have never felt the players are a innocent party, my issue has always been individuals being picked on rather than blaming as a unit. Completely unacceptable behaviour to not give 100% to a Manager's idea. How that isnt a pay deduction punishment I dont know.
  12. Need to learn to walk before can run, but not many will accept this. Need a squad clear out, reset. A manager that concentrates on the basic, so things like marking, tackling, set plays, getting ball forward quickly. Tippy tappy is a luxury you only work on when the basics are sorted. Seagrave either needs a massive downgrade so its a less comfortable environment for the players, or to stop being used for the first team, but thats never happening until a new owner sells it. I have noticed successful periods tend to happen in football when a more expansive manager takes over from a old school type manager, so they benefit from the foundations being laid first. I wonder what all the Moyes haters are thinking at the moment.
  13. Kit man to be fired, ground maintainers for Seagrave to be fired. Head Chef at Seagrave to be fired.
  14. Missed Pleat, I started my interest in LCFC during my paper rounds reading the back of the mercury, I think was Brian's first play off year I was hooked in. Obviously going into admin was really bad, relegation to League one hurt as we was one of only a few clubs who never been at that level, but if I am being honest, when considering the way the decisions are being made, the obsession with a certain style of play, toxicity in the fan base, I dont think anything has topped what is happening now. Last season's promotion was my least enjoyed promotion by a mile, which says it all. Likewise I feel like I am not that bothered about relegation, usually it would be really gutting, but for some reason I feel like I am detached from it, my frustration is largely at the board.
  15. If Top is consistent Ruud should be sacked, Cooper was sacked for a better PPG, and we also looked like we were in most of his games, now its just embarrassing. I watched every game under Cooper as it felt we were always capable of getting something no matter how dull people thought the football was, now its just waiting to be relegated. I dont think its all Ruud's fault, I am consistent myself he is dealing with the same issues Cooper had to deal with, the operation needs a flush from top to bottom.
  16. Even Liverpool fans are admitting the system is broken. A fan listed to me a dozen or so players they got for peanuts, because the academies are bullied under the existing rules.
  17. We agree he can go at 24, that would be reasonable. Two years is nothing, we need to stop being bullied.
  18. Its clear he needs to be played, even if we lose him it would at least bump the compensation, the club are so daft.
  19. Not sure how bad things are, but it has been evident for a while that things are not the same. PSR has been a very convenient front for the decision to not spend in ways the fan base would like. It was never a barrier, as clubs like Villa, and Chelsea have proven there is ways round it, Forest as well.
  20. The protests need to keep happening, it is making national news outlets now.
  21. Its just human nature. Sorry we dont agree that we should have become an elite club first, but I do agree on your wages point, that is also another part of the bad decision making. I am ok with players like Vardy getting a good salary after proving themselves over a number of seasons with us, but new signings shouldnt be anywhere near that sort of money.
  22. Better than thinking if we still had Enzo we would be comfortably outside the bottom three.
  23. Is Draper still injured? we made it to winter and still no sign of her.
  24. Its funny, but this stuff would sway our man child.
