  1. League one keeper at his best again. I think Mads and Winks are both of in January. Our DoF can only sell first team players, and I think they both protecting their fitness to get their moves.
  2. Contract and wage management has been diabolical. Its either short with high wages, or long with low wages. All of the young players we signed Tielemans etc,. should have started on 6 year contracts. If you consider our tendency to sell players, it makes it even worse, after just two seasons its either sell or big wage increase time on negotiation, club then I guess felt they had enough of it and then ended up letting valuable players leave for nothing, easily a sackable offence but the loon is still employed by the club. Dont get me started on the refusal to cut losses either.
  3. Drive is gone now, KP dont own the club anymore either, so how does this all work when the plans include KP hotels? I be surprised if the expansion goes ahead, I think we more likely to be sold tbh.
  4. Always felt he looked alright for us, but just never got much play time, seems to be one of those that doesnt impress in training and sadly too many managers over emphasise training performances.
  5. Good to see people are seeing the light on PSR, we just need to spend big for 1-2 windows, take a small 8 point penalty for a squad thats worth 20-30 points extra per season.
  6. We probably have the worst midfield in the division. Highlights dont show this, watch full matches and stay focused on "all" of the play that happens.
  7. Its the unknown that they fear, the system we have now has predictability which risk averse executives like. I can only see the existing system failing though, as you said its split across different platforms, and the black market covers every game for your club, whilst Sky and co is focused on specific clubs.
  8. I was going to say maybe they read my post, but website still looks the same today, its also harder to use on desktop now, its a bit of a challenge to navigate to men staff now as the menu fades out of view when moving the pointer. The website seems to have implemented mobile device design, looks a lot plainer than a few months ago.
  9. Website standards have dropped, it took them half a season to add photos for LCFC women new signings, and so far none of the coaching staff since Enzo left have photos either, I think it took them about a month to add Cooper's coaching staff after he joined. So give it till end of Jan then should be there. Maybe photos by summer break.
  10. The issue is the midfield. The reason we getting so pounded at the back, is the opposition can just stroll through our midfield with ease. I would consider something akin to a 4-4-2, 2 defensive mids, one play maker in there, the 4th someone who move between midfield and winger duties, then the front two would either be two strikers or one winger and a striker. We need to stop teams just jogging to our back 3rd, for some reason most LCFC fans arent recognising this issue, I dont know if its they only pay attention when its near the goal, they just relying on highlights, no idea, but its the main problem. The change defensively would be to make sure we double up on both sides defensively, so JJ and Kristiansen not left alone, most games they stranded. This is something @StriderHiryu picked up on.
  11. I feel like this season is our worst midfield as far back as I can remember in the top division, almost every match we just get walked through. Whilst even in previous seasons when we got promoted with no money, our midfield would at least have grit.
  12. Maybe thats the plan, sometimes assistants take over when manager is fired.
  13. The main motivations seems to be from the American owners, and Spanish clubs.
  14. Wouldnt call that standard, short contracts is a reason we have been in so much trouble with the squad and finances. It means it ends when he is at an awkward age, we might consider getting rid after only 2 seasons, and be under pressure to give a salary increase after only 2 years to keep him. 5 years would have had it end at age 32.
  15. I think you just looking at it, in how good the likes of the big 6 are, the improvement is with the likes of Brentford, Forest, Villa, Newcastle, Brighton and co. Many clubs have made decent strides forward. Its also not down to individual talent either, teams play with much more aggressive press and counter now, and more tactically astute managers are in the division.
  16. It will be that we less shit than 3 other teams. Some seasons this isnt that hard, take last season, others its more difficult. I think saints were done, they probably still favourites even with Russel gone, Ipswich arent done, Wolves now depends on how good their new manager is, Palace will be fine, Everton I feel will be just about good enough. So is 3 out of 4, or 2 out of 4 if Man City get forced out. I find myself more bothered about other things though, like we cant make football decisions for shit now with Rudkin and Top, that I feel is a much bigger issue. Unable to shift squad players because an obsession with paper profit is crippling us, and we badly need someone above the manager with connections and know how when it comes to football decisions and squad building, the squad is a complete mish mash of different types of players with no organised process.
  17. How come contract was so short?
  18. Pretty much this, Rudkin wont have contacts.
  19. Got more Masseur's than first team coaches.
  20. He is ready to go for his next appearance.
  21. Rather we lose possession on the wing instead of directly in front of goal as Southampton have done. Cooper isnt here anymore, we cant blame everything on him, Ruud has a lot of issues to deal with, including the poor state of the squad which is down to Top and Rudkin.
  22. Bear in mind they decided to ignore PSR and invest heavily, that combined with a astute manager is now paying off for them. The league in my opinion is also now of a higher standard compared to 4-5 years ago, especially on the managerial side. One of the reasons why when we stood still we got relegated and are now struggling with a squad which is still mostly ex EPL players. Its so easy to see our problems, we were and still are evidence of the KDH sale, relying on repeatedly selling first teamer's to pass PSR, inevitably it was all too much and our squad was weakened too much, we then refused to fire a manager because of an obsession with PSR and style of play, have consistently over paid wages, and dismantled our sports science, scouting setup.
  23. He is a kind of player who would be good enough to be in a team with higher quality individuals around him If that makes sense. Problem is our team isn't like that. When you compare him to what we paid for Winks it feels like a pretty bad signing.
  24. My thoughts on this. 1 - dont judge based on highlights. Its only a tiny snapshot of the game. In particular it fails to show much of anything in the midfield battle ground area. I think many on here focus on this as well, which is why people keep blaming defenders and not the midfield. 2 Ruud needs time, Said same about Cooper. 3 - Squad isnt good enough, especially in midfield and forward wingers. Luckily couple of weeks to go till Jan, however our owners will probably hide behind PSR, as far as I know KP no longer own the club, its individual members of the family now shares were transferred.
  25. So we finally might start using more than a 1/4 of the pitches?
