  1. It might be. Depends on the opposition.
  2. Sadly, our daughter is back in the Bradgate under section. Worse still we have had to report her to the police for making threats to kill us. We've had hundreds, possibly over a thousand menacing, abusive text messages over the recent months but the latest have come during the week when she has been allowed to go to her home for a trial period. During this home release, things kicked off between her and her neighbours. She absolutely believes we have instigated this. Obviously we haven't but she has ramped up her threats as she feels under threat herself. This is mostly down to her paranoid thinking, however these latest threats really did cause alarm and distress to my wife particularly as she is the main target of daughter's anger. She has threatened to stab us to death if we ever go near her, she wants to watch us die, she wants to kill my wife and watch as she falls into her dead mothers grave, she said she'll get to our house even if she has to walk here and will attack us, as well as other monstrous notions. As a result we both felt that there was a real threat to harm us if we had any direct contact and that she might even make the effort to travel to us. Linked in to that is the real possibility that she could attack the neighbours. Daughter called the police during the altercation and they removed her from her flat and took her back to the Bradgate for her own and the neighbours safety. We were advised by the psych social worker and the CPN to make a report to the police so that there was some record and background in case anything should escalate even though we know the chance of us being attacked is minimal, the police officer said "you never know with mental health". Things have calmed down since, but the very act of reporting her to the police was quite upsetting as we don't want her to have a criminal record although her CPN and the police said she won't get one as she is under section in line with the mental health act, unless she subsequently commits a criminal offence. As I said, she is back in the Bradgate Unit but they are pushing for a discharge by the end of the week which is ridiculous given her MH state. We and the CPN and MH social worker are opposing this, obviously. It's just an ongoing situation that never seems to improve and has been our lives to a greater or lesser degree for 30 years now. Still, we take it, shake it off and push on. Fortunately we've got close friends to help support us and we are pretty much used to living this life by now. Posting here helps me personally as I can write about it all without prejudice. Thanks all.
  3. Quota filling is what it is.
  4. I'm on the list to compete at next years Crufts. My trainer has about 9 months to get me ready for leaping over barriers and running through tunnels and looking well groomed and handsome. (The latter is an easy task IMO). BTW, I hate this cone thing around my neck.
  5. It'd take a lot of spoons of sugar to sweeten the bitterness I feel.
  6. Didn't the bowling alley then become a nightclub for a while? It had like a sunken dancefloor which might have been part of the previous bowling lanes. I seem to remember filling in as DJ for a couple of nights but that was about 1980, so my memory might be false. Was it called Fusion?
  7. This:
  8. I disagree here. Sure there are some that don't give ANY thought to the issues facing the world. Loads of people in our 1st world "make babies" simply by "shagging for fun". The father then ****s off so mum goes for another partner, gets pregnant gives birth, dad ****s off and so it goes on even if dad stays around, the irresponsible "shagging for fun" goes on. You only need to look at the demographic of those that fit this cycle. We know it happens and the billions spent on benefits shows it. However in so many less educated and more poverty ridden parts of the world, survival of a family depends on multiple offspring as so many that are born are at risk of death so, as history itself and nature proves, the more offspring one has the greater the chance of at least one surviving. You can't really suggest that people I've referenced in my last paragraph have a great, if any, understanding of the world as we do in the developed world.
  9. That we're going to be put to the sword? (Even though Hitler shot himself in the head. Harakiri is suicide by sword)
  10. Was he in your bathroom?
  11. After a dodgy VAR decision during the row-offs.
  12. There was even a special fork for toasting:
  13. By which time the Champagne will have gone flat. Neck it!
  14. Considering there was 7 mins of added time and the sub was made at 94... I think your maths is a bit off.
  15. The look on his face when he came on says it all. A debut in the PL rather than the Championship.
  16. If he'd let go he'd have fallen over. Although we wouldn't have conceded the pen and it's unlikely they would have scored.
  17. CBA anymore. I'm out for a while as it's become boring AFAIC.
  18. Every single country/government in this world is corrupt, but USA seeks to portray itself as the freedom fighter for the world when actually it (Trump) is purely acting in its self interest. Sure, it'll support Ukraine and other conflicts, but only while it suits them to do so. And sadly, that's true of all major governments in this world.
  19. Absolutely disgraceful. And we think Putin and his ilk are the only dictators/restrictors of free speech. Trump and his cabinet are operating as dictators in a democracy. I wish American people would pull their heads out of the sand and realise but I know that's never going to happen. "Rednecks" must outnumber "normal realists" by many thousands. It's really frustrating that Trump tanked the markets and then rolled back on sanctions creating a false recovery but by doing that making himself and wealthy investors loads of money. Something stinks on Capitol Hill.
  20. Or dodgy?
  21. I texted him to ask and it is around the £40k mark for 4 people.
  22. I volunteered in a charity shop and what you say is true except we didn't clean them, just sprayed them with Febreeze.
  23. Agreed. If you stop your DD before renewal. Provided your proactive of course, otherwise you've committed yourself to another season and potentially wasted your money.
  24. TBH I can't remember exactly. I seem to recall was around 4 thousand per season for his executive box all inclusive. However now, all inclusive no longer extends to food and served meals for invited clients and only applies to his named guests i.e. his family, so any extra invited clients incur an additional cost which is one of the reasons he's thinking of ditching it. I can't say I blame him
