Surely the CEO gets a final look at anything major that the board proposes?

Is this Nick who runs the flight deck simulator at Wolvey?

DV incidents are notoriously difficult to deal with. Most times the victim doesn't want to take the matter further. I've been to so many where we we had the police involved as well. Sadly the victim just doesn't want to move to a hostel or a hotel room as their home is where there feel most secure despite the violence. I can't imagine giving up almost everything you have to go somewhere where you have virtually nothing. It must be a terrifying choice.
-
Sadly that is not an uncommon result. That's another reason why policing is so difficult. Every single action has to be correct and all t's crossed and i's dotted.
-
On the plus side, our police don't usually summarily put to death someone who is a "perceived" threat, on the street.
-
I don't recall anyone suggesting "what they would have done". And if they did, why is it a red herring? It wouldn't be distracting from anything about this incident or people's views on it. If you're referring to my post earlier, I challenged the poster to say what they would have done in that situation. They didn't respond.

So wearing a distinctive police uniform, carrying a weapon and taser whilst chasing down and grappling with the defendants didn't identify them as police? AFAIK the police shout out their presence when they are entering a property to use the element of surprise, disorientate and subdue the occupants involved, not when they're trying to suppress a violent, public incident. Ridiculous attempt by the defence to deflect.

This. And some models with rear indicators so low down that they cant be seen if you're not immediately behind them.
-
And what would you have done in that situation? I was an act of self defence, and it's not "people", it's one person who the officer had to deal with in a extremely volatile and stressful event where a female officer got punched to the floor and the attempt to grab the officers gun. Would you be saying the same if the guy had succeeded and then shot at the police? I know who's side I'm on.

We had an actual forge in the metalwork classroom where we would learn how to heat metal and then hammer it into various shapes. Also planishing metal bowls was another thing we did.
-
We had these at Gateway Grammar School. I've still got a wooden box with a hinged lid and lined with felt that I made for my late dad to keep his LP records in and a small wooden box for my late mum to put her trinkets in. As well as some "sculptures" we had to design and make in metalwork class. These were the classes I enjoyed the most. Forget maths and English.

Gone but not forgotten and certainly not the death list

I just remember him as a nasty, vindictive politician, just as nasty and vindictive as Thatcher. "On yer bike". No remorse from me. -
So there's no point in swerving to hit the feckers, then? Damn! They've infested our guttering, the patio, the conservatory roof and the solar panels with their shit. The constant calling noise (that isn't even attractive or tuneful) from dawn to dusk. I hate the ****ing things. I mean, HATE!!!!!

I think Evri must do drive-by deliveries.

Pubs and bars etc are profiteering if they sell non alcohol products at the same price as alcohol drinks. ABV % is taxable and the higher the percentage the more it costs to buy. Price matching 0 % with 4.5% or above should be illegal.

It could also be that there was clear road ahead and the overtake was safe. You can't reasonably predict mechanical failure. Tragic for any young family to lose a dad in tragic and unpredictable circumstances and I feel for them.

Not even an over-the-bath TV?

No. It's about getting the body to cool down by sweating. Sweat evaporates and that causes cooling as long as the skin is largely uncovered. So expect to see dozens of OAP's wandering around in pants and vests tomorrow.
-
It's proven that if you drink a hot drink on a hot day, you will lose heat by sweating. If it's humid with little evaporation of sweat you won't.
-
And not go to Morrisons. Which will be remarkable.
-
Though counterintuitive, the science of sweat tells us that drinking hot beverages when in a hot environment will actually help you cool down. We know what were doing, while the yunguns are swigging energy drinks that'll make them diabetic.
