anyone but leeds. The last thing we need is our reserves losing to this lot -
i’m going to take my hysteria out of the equation and just look at the rationale for a player like Ayew. Firstly, he’s a player that you have to ignore the stats for. He’s an Okazaki, which means he is there purely to make those around him better…he’s done that well. I think, had we not wasted a spot on BDR I could possibly wrap my head around it. We absolutely under no circumstances could start with him as our striker. That’s my biggest concern right now. If it’s done tomorrow there’s a very real chance we’d start with Ayew Bdr. Buonnanotte Fatawu That would be absolutely turgid. If however we combine it with a strong forward Fotis/ Hlzek then he’s here as coverage for the front 3… doesn’t improve us at all but It would be a slight improvement in coverage. Problem is, in tougher games I think copper would rather have bdr and ayew than fatawu/mav or buonnanotte. Im in the acceptance stage because it’s going to happen. I’m not going to keep on with the negativity once it’s done, the player won’t deserve it and hopefully he’ll win a few of us over. He’s a good pro and will hopefully rub some of that off on mav and fatawu.

Seen a few comparisons by their fans to maguire (in a good way). Needed a strong start so hopefully he gets a league game next.
-
I get that. But as a pro you tend to expect it, you also get treated in a different manner if you show some class. Mahrez is a great example, we were salty at first but after he showed a bit of good will towards us most fans changed opinion of him.
-
i’m a little worried Fab is playing one of his guessing games again. Typically, when he gives himself an out “not done yet” or uses percentages…. it means he’s just full of complete shit.
-
I can forgive that but he’s shown nothing but disdain towards the club since he left. I have absolutely no idea why but he just seems to hate us it’s a bit weird tbqh

Getting the impression Stevey just wanted to be the palace manager. He acts like me on football manger where i just try to sign old or current leicester players.
-
I’m only a little ITK but have it on extremely good authority that Zaha is number 14 this season
-
in the same way our fans would be more enthusiastic about albrighton staying then having chilwell come back. Ones way more popular but football based opinion would tell you chillwell would be a better deal for the club
-
so is it fair to say, we’ve gone for zaha, hit a snag and taken up ayew as the fall back? Seems like there must have been other options but given that both these deals probably cost the same, that’s exactly what we’ve done
-
For some players it just clicks one year. The way your own team plays, giving that individual more freedom and good coaching. I don’t think it’s just form… a whole season is more than that, I think he just hit his stride. I think he’s no more risk than most other signings from overseas and quite frankly he’d settle in quicker with the squad. Unfortunately age isn’t on his side but for either ipswich or ourselves he’s guaranteed to be a useful player next year if we went down, whereas jordan ayew is just going to be another weight around our neck

it’s supposed to go straight to Johnny boy

Ayew me duck

Can’t help but think we’ve decided on a blue and red striped third kit and the only way the club could do a good reveal was to have 2 ex palace players announce it.
-
we all had our doubts. Wanted to give him a bit of a chance but it’s extremely difficult so far. But we’ve got to at least give him something to work with.
-
I just hate that the club have felt the pressure from pre-season so released exciting links to the press. But this just might be all a PR stunt to claim we tried whilst, actually waving the white flag and bringing in the bare minimum players. Id be this fuming if we were bringing him in for a year in the championship. he’s just this eras darrius vassell
-
the problem is he’s already been defined and signing Ayew should just be expected at this point. Didn’t learn from Bertrand, didn’t learn from vestergarde, didn’t learn from Bennett… christ we didn’t learn from coady. If a prem team wants rid it’s usually because they are bad, past it or both. Can’t think of a single time an aging prem player has left a mid table club and kept someone up, in basically a giveaway deal. These are the scraps of clubs and we are paying actual money for them?
