this is genuinely why you’re best off not dealing with the entitled 6 clubs. They only value him as 20m in comparison to the fact that they wasted 50m on someone like archie Gray. It’s a trickle down effect, we’ve been the mugs that allow them to apply that flawed logic and actually pay it. We’ve wasted the maddison money. We’ve wasted the kdh money. A hard working player with no real quality is not worth anymore than 8m and you can’t convince me otherwise.

It is something that can be improved on and he can be coached to make better decisions though. I know i’m in the minority but I actually think he is the best defender (ability wise) he just has a huge concentration issue. If he stays switched on for 90 hes clear of every other defender at the club and that’s backed up statistically. His duel numbers in the prem before were incredibly high. If we could stop him missing rogue headers or forgetting to challenge or swinging a wild boot… he’d be quite the player. I understand why people don’t rate him but i’d rather gamble on a good game from faes than you play mediocrity that we have

The advantage of not doing anything in the market, is that we can still salvage this. If we can get 3 very good additions in, all will be forgiven. I think we are all just worried those additions will be Ayew, D fofana and cedric soares.

We just didn’t get the clear out we needed when we went down. It was artificial and nothing changed. We got incredibly lucky with maresca in my opinion and footballing success has just enabled us. Things won’t get better until top sells, he won’t make the decisions needed and we will keep falling to our lowest point. You see these things coming a mile off. Reminds me of sunderland in many ways, the issues are so very obvious but the club do nothing to try to fix them.
