  1. Just follow accounts like @fosseHub on twitter mate. They’re good for posting about most links. The whole point in a forum is to chat about what you’re seeing. Even if that is about how daka would lose a race to an octopus with no legs.
  2. People are funny man! Acting like we are enabling brighton to sign o’reily because we are loaning one of their players… if it wasn’t us someone else would snap him up. In what world do we end up with o’reily because we didn’t loan Buonatte
  3. there is a bit of a misconception about loans though. When you sign from a position like ours you tend to pay 3m odd in a loan fee, which is still the same as amortizing a 12m deal except no resale. Im not saying we shouldn’t do it for the right player but we’d be no better off loaning an okoli, than signing him in this years books. All comes down to the player , obviously if the loan players are a higher standard because the clubs want to keep them then it’s worth it. This seems like a sensible move but if we had too many i’d worry. Wouldn’t be surprised to see someone like borja come here on loan if we’re still struggling to find a striker
  4. I might be hugely in the minority, but I would actually prefer braybrooke, nelson and alves spent the season out on loan. We are likely to have a rough season and that might not be ideal for their development. My main concern is that if they do show what they are capable of, they would just be poached in the summer. We’d be better off getting them prepped for next season where we’ve either blagged survival or we build a championship team around them.
  5. we are not a big 6 club. Plenty of players aren’t going to be successful with teams in that realm but plenty good enough for a bottom half side. Danny Drinkwater won the prem with us… wouldn’t get a look in at spurs. Stewart downing was one of boris best ever players …. went about 3 seasons without a goal or assist at liverpool. Can’t say i get your point. He never really got consecutive runs in the team he was a bit part player. He obviously didn’t do enough but that doesn’t necessarily mean the talent wasn’t there. Winks didn’t pull up any trees at spurs either remember
  6. don’t think he really got a fair crack at spurs and Ajax would have been more appealing than a lower half prem team. Im not sure he can be judged on his ability based solely on that. The personality is the bigger question mark, talent wise I think he would definitely improve us
  7. Max cornett, gonzalez and out of absolutely nowhere josh sargent
  8. slightly different though. Picking the best young south american talents to sell on if they don’t work out is one thing… but they wouldn’t be taking a keeper from river plate as a first choice
  9. my friend was talking about placing a bet on chelsea to finish in the bottom half, we all initially told him he was mad. But when you count out the decent sides it’s very possible. Even if we’d nailed this window we would have been in for a bumpy ride. Possibly the strongest the league has been since we’ve been a part of it
  10. It would be extremely rare for man city to sign a player without top level experience.
  11. I’m actually onboard for this because the only logical explanation is that it would mean ward is not trusted as a number 2
  12. this would be the first steven at the club since cooper
  13. people were saying we need a midfielder like andy king … that didn’t mean one that just gurns in photos
  14. tbf to wahi, nobody will question his background at OM when they’ve just signed greenwood
  15. outrageous isn’t it. We are now reportedly not able to pursue cavalho or nelson because we don’t have cash but we spent 15m odd on a player who probably won’t start. Fully off of our rockers
  16. what’s alarming is that it was reported that when we were selling kdh both fofana and broja didn’t want to join us. Which could be why we went for golding at the time. he’s only interested now because nobody else wanted him. Hard to accept that we are the last resort club now
  17. so we’ll be playing tripple for him in january
  18. I don’t like the idea of signing players that would rock the boat if we go down. There’s no way he’d consider toughing out a year in the championship… and because of that we end up loaning him out for a year and paying most of his wages. Give me the young lad from paraguay over this guy all day long.
  19. Just look at the initial responses I got to to this post. Half the fan base don’t want to think about anything negative until it hits you bang in the face. I’m not a negative person by nature but this season feels like the beginning of a fool me once shame on you but fool me twice and that’s on me I always feel that a fan base that is loud with their complaints when things are good on the pitch are listened to more. It’s easy to say, you’re just crying because you got relegated… not so easy for the media to brush it off when we’ve just been promoted. But as a whole our fan base feels apathetic to the mis-dealings
  20. A year without football takes a toll. Might take a while to get back to his best. Good luck to him. If he’s essential for them in a promotion push he should be an easy sell next season.
  21. basically their agent wants someone to drop their pants and give him exactly what he wants… he’ll even change the deal as you move along. Welcome to Leicester young man
  22. ive said this a few times but i’d be incredibly surprised if we weren’t in for him again. He may have no interest but he’s not done a lot since the last time we went after him.
  23. that’s sounds about right. We get crappy Fofana for a season and we have to let them have fatawu next summer.
  24. that’s the thing, the only way he gets a top 7 job is because the clubs are likely in a bad situation… so he will likely just flop from the start. But his narrative of it was all our fault and never his, probably is believed by almost everyone outside of the club
