  1. Hard disagree. In this system he’s far better than both hamza and Thomas
  2. It’s a non starter then isn’t it? Clearly they rate him, so why would they let us have an option to buy
  3. I was all for this but I am a little concerned how much weaker our squad feels without him. he’s currently the best available option for right and left back
  4. With ward and now this… you can’t convince me that they aren’t just signing players to make the documentary better. They literally just want good narratives
  5. Scoring and creating goals won’t be our problem this season. Stopping them will. personally I’m more bothered if he’s doing the defensive work right this year. leave the creativity to mavi, monga and fatawu 🤷‍♂️
  6. It’s the “I told you so” bias. Those that decided he wasn’t good enough, just can’t wait to get an opportunity to be right about it. He can be decent for 10 games but one stinker and everyone will come out the woodwork to say he’s not good enough im personally more guilty of the opposite. Get over excited when someone has a good game. But **** you Soumare you’re not getting me like that again
  7. Luke and Ricardo have just about the best attitudes at the club. The least of our problems
  8. Not worried. He was class at Oxford regularly. Might be overly keen to impress, or just genuinely feeling the pressure because of the other cbs we have competing with him. When he settles he’ll be top
  9. I love this type of signing when you already have an option. As a bilal replacement? Coming from a somewhere that will take some time to adjust… that’s a pretty big ask. could become a problem area of the pitch very quickly if he struggled. Although I can’t see it being long before stephy or monga get tried in the role
  10. I think he’s staying. Of all the games to leave him out for, yesterday would have been an easy one. The risk for player and club was too big as I’m sure we’d be very happy to scoop north of 30m from the clause. Can’t see anyone paying that money based on his output, he just hasnt quite done enough to warrant that imo
  11. played 6 games on loan, scored 0. next season we made sure to sign him. we were just as poorly run back then as now tbf
  12. Criminal we still haven’t got a real #9 in by now. Ayew just about gets the nod for me but he’s never going to be consistent for us
  13. Some finishes in this game. Proper cup match
  14. All our players hate us! How can they have been so utterly useless, have the most incompetent people running the organization and yet it’s the fans that these players can’t stand
  15. For anyone watching did he have a stinker? Is that why he’s been hooked early?
  16. The thing is, and I don’t know how many times it needs to be said, faes is not shite. He has bad concentration but he has far more talent than any other defender in the championship and I truly believe that. But the problem is that sometimes you don’t need to be talented you just need to smash it clear and that’s where he makes his mistakes. Because he can, doesn’t mean he should and if he was actually a little less talented, he’d probably be a better defender as he’s do the basics more frequently. That’s my take anyway
  17. Ahh sorry to hear this, I’m missing the game as I’m at work. I did say after the koln game that he looked very uncomfortable. Likely needs some time to settle into the system
  18. It’s essentially the only way to grow the club in this new psr era. And even if we have a duration in the championship, the extra income from gigs and sporting events will pay its way. I would argue we are at a place in our history where having spare seats is actually needed, bring back quids for kids. Free tickets for community services. Encourage international groups to come along for a day out. Set up a reciprocal leuven trip Those opportunities allow you to attract the next generation of fans. There’s so many people now, who can’t afford to bring their kids, so they will all slip into supporting Chelsea or man city or whoever is the flavour of the generation. when I come over with my family, It’s currently a tall order to bring my 2 kids and wife. But if we do spend a decade struggling, they should all have buy in to the club because of the great family trips we had… but that can’t happen if there are no tickets or we don’t want to spend a fortune. The club needs generational support and it’s hard to do that currently
  19. Monga would rank 1st
  20. I’m curious about those who watched monga in the youth teams a lot, what’s his crossing and finishing actually like? It’s very easy to be blinkered by his unreal ability on the ball but I (and I’m sure many) have no idea if crossing and finishing is actually a strength of his? Seems decent so far along with his judgement but let’s say he didn’t have the ability to walk it to the box, is he able to whip a ball from deep onto someone’s head? Can he pull out a cut in and bend into the corner from outside the box, like we see with fats and stephy on occasions?
  21. I do agree but the fact we don’t have a back up keeper of a decent standard would mean it’s not worth the risk imo.
  22. Sorry further in the chain it was a line up that was pretty bang on, just had skipp, winks and Thomas. could easily add the two youngsters instead and play a full second string to spread the minutes around
  23. This is the lowest priority game we will have. Simply have to give them a run out
  24. Logically, selling him and getting Nelson in the first team makes sense. &nbsp with faes as a back up and souttar to return, we simply have to take the cash if it’s a good deal.
