  1. but as others have said, if the players around him are improved he might shine more. it’s impossible to say at this point but if he stays healthy and gets minutes we can take a good look in the summer. he doesn’t need to be as good as stephy or fatawu, he needs to be as good as yunus was.
  2. The best I’ve seen was that the reason for the nets around the ground was to catch Dalots crosses

  4. I really rate Liam Manning. He progressively builds and plays very nice football. So in Canada when we got relegated last year, we randomly got linked with Manning. I looked into him and he definitely has an upward trajectory. I’m still not sure where such a random link came from. he’s young (39) and his career is more coaching than playing, which I like as they sometimes have more focus and drive and don’t rely on what they felt they’ve already achieved and learnt. so after working in some youth teams he got the Lommel job, they were bottom and he took them to 3rd. he got the mk dons job, they were dysfunctional and he got them to the playoffs… I watched those games they were really good, the strongest team by far and I was very impressed but they got snatch and grabbed by wycombe. The next season they lost some key players and things went backwards, they were mid table and mk dons got rid. He got the Oxford job and transformed them and got them pushing for playoffs and quite frankly led the foundations for their recent success. He got the Bristol job, they are penniless and has them competing for playoffs when in reality they have no right to be in the top half. He would be an incredibly refreshing appointment and has plenty of upside.
  5. He’s free. He plays the football Top wants. He has championship experience. He got promoted (our board won’t look into how shit they were) We have long term historical interest. He is by far the most likely candidate we are a short sighted establishment, we won’t care how he did in the prem as the next aim is to get back there
  6. I think we are nailed in to bring Martin in on the championship and that will be the final nail in our coffin
  7. If you request a bet this, I bet it’s still less than the 5000/1 for the title win.
  8. What this translates to is, more time talking about big clubs and less time watching highlights from smaller clubs
  9. With red bull backing I highly doubt they will sit still. I hope they go up as they will be the biggest competition and we need as easy of path to promotion as possible
  10. exactly, it would be crazy to sell him now. We’d get less than we paid. Hold him at all costs, a big year in the championship and his value rises again. People will pay attention now
  11. Only 13% would keep fatawu? Wtaf
  12. Either im not seeing the right thread for it or people are just apathetic but the club World Cup is really annoying me. I just don’t see how it’s fair to throw a $billion to a winner of a made up competition. It’s essentially a back hander to one of the entitied super league clubs and they know it. where on earth has that figure come from. tell you what though, what happens to world football if Auckland city win 1 billion hahaha
  13. At this stage, I’d sit everyone down and anyone who doesn’t want to be here next season doesn’t play again. Why waste minutes on players that will demand to leave as soon as the season os over. faes, soumare, kristiansen… none of you will be missed
  14. Tbf that would be the best result of the season for us. We can ignore what they say after that
  15. This sounds too good to be true
  16. There’s more chance of seeing someone scoring at church
  17. Tell you what, arrange a joint protest with man united for this game if you actually want an impact. They would happily join in and that would actually be covered around the world
  18. Plymouth away. It’ll be interesting if that’s in the championship or league 1
  19. Bingo card for the game: fernandes dives and wins a penalty wout faes air kicks or misses a header garnacho scores a banger Hojlund scores 2 after not finding the net for as long as us Bilal hits first defender from every single corner and free kick This isn’t a one thing will happen… all will happen
  20. Say what you want about that but Steve Cooper would be proud of that display
  21. Tbf the way to beat Enzo is a low block and fast counter, which is what this formation would enable. The problem is that all of our players are shite.
  22. Started the same at stoke then he smashed in a load of goal at Portsmouth and kicked on. He’ll come good eventually
  23. When I look at what you consider a winnable game, there’s only really 5 games for the promoted 3. The gap is staggering. But without the opposition not really performing or huge luck, there’s just too much difference in quality to have a real chance. In an ordinary season it wouldn’t have even been this close, wolves have just been awful and any other year (before last year) would comfortably go down themselves
  24. Yeah it’s easy when you take all the England youth internationals though isn’t it. We’ve had roughly one who played through the age groups (chillwell) and he was fast tracked into the team after one loan. Without being disrespectful our academy options are not of the same pedigree or they wouldn’t be here. We’ve got to get a little more luck with ours. Man city aren’t looking over their shoulders at anyone. we get a kdh they get a palmer… one is worth throwing in before their ready because they have a top level talent the other, needs nurturing before being thrown in.
  25. If alves and Nelson can contribute to relegating stoke and derby that would be lovely im not sure if either are old enough to remember our relegation at stoke but sweet revenge is still needed
