Think anyone criticising Ayews performance on Saturday isn’t judging what he did on the pitch and just spouting the same old rubbish about him. He had a great game - he’s become the poster boy for our decline and it’s harsh imo. Skipp is a far worse signing, tries hard and seems like a professional but he’s not good enough. The difference when Winks came on was enormous.

Think putting Cooper anywhere near Taylor and RVN is harsh.

I’ve been critical in the past, but given where we are you can’t fault it really. I don’t think the Bilal fee is under market value. He’s shown nothing so far to suggest he’s a 40m plus player, as it stands nowhere Maddison or Barnes when fully fit and firing. I do think it’s a shame to lose McAteer, but for 12m you can’t say no. I think the signings seem sensible and proportionate. Can’t judge the striker until we’ve seen him play. We can’t get rid of an entire squad either, Soumare and Vestergaard are fine at this level. Both played very well last Friday. If Winks can knuckle down now, he’s a top player at this level. Our objective is surely still to get promoted.

Saw him a few times live at Boro, I think he’s a talent.

Needs to stay, there’s no way we can get more then 2 incomings done.

I think he’s better than he gets credit for. All for getting the finances sorted, but at this rate we’ll have no players left to do anything but drift.

Looks like a player with no confidence to me. He was hiding on the pitch last night, didn’t really want the ball, just chasing shadows.

It is a worry. The amount of money that’s comes into club over the last 10 years, acknowledging we’ve overpaid wages massively, something just feels off to me.

I’d take Barnes over Bilal in a heartbeat. He’s talented, no doubt. But he’s got a way to go to be a top PL player.

I hear you Ric, and it’s logical. But replace them with who? It’s pretty obvious Winks is still the best midfielder in the team and we’d never get replacements in by the end of month. I’m all for giving the academy lads a go, but they are not of the same standard…yet. I’m all for the reboot, but there’s a risk you end up stuck in the championship with no parachute payments and your talent has all gone.

Thought he’d start, knock maybe?

Thought the same when listing the 11, I’d be amazed if he starts ahead of Winks or Skipp.

Think a few people are underestimating what a great player he’s been for us, there’s a load of players I’d want to see go ahead of JJ - Soumare, BDR, Faes, Vestergaard…even Daka.

Just from that video I’m impressed. Modern game is all about player management and relationships. The fact that he greeted Okali in Italian was a nice a touch, can make a difference getting buy-in from the players.

100%, absolutely fine for the championship

He’s decent, especially for the championship. Strong, quick and definitely a cut above this level.

Keep if possible - better option than Vestergaard, Faes or Coady.

Just doesn’t look like a player, the way he carries himself, moves etc.
