As no one knows what’s gone on what if I say Winks is being frozen out because he has called out the club internally saying it’s a shambles, will people like him now?
-
Liverpool can win the title with 79 points just goes to show how weak the traditional top sides have been and why the likes of Forest, Bournemouth, Brighton, Brentford, Fulham have all had moments in the top 5/6
-
There is what’s wrong with what Neville just said, “really good foul by Jota, because Mavididi had got away from TAA then….”
-
Because it was on a GK anywhere else get on with it shoulder to shoulder
-
Jota penalty incoming

Liverpool are probably the hardest running team in the league & whilst McAteer isn’t the most gifted player you can’t fault his running. With Ricardo starting it’s probably to play as inverted FB/MD so then that leaves BCDR on the right on his own to go forward and back it’s moronic he doesn’t have the legs at least McAteer would get up and down, he could have bust his lungs for 60mins then Monga comes on full of energy. RVN has bottled it thinking he needs experience on but its legs he needs.

But that’s right because Burnley play SU & if they both win (Leeds n Burnley that is) then they will both be 8pts from SU with a max 6pts to play for. -
I will give you 3 games tops where I thought fair play he’s done well today, as in he’s defended well doing CB defending things. Outside of that it was the league’s standard that might have made him look better than he was/is, being given 5mins to walk to the halfway line and ping a few balls left and right because the opposition are so scared of being turned over doesn’t go down as a + for him in my book. It’s not even like these passes led directly to goals which they do for players like VVD who are/were afforded the same time especially in the Klopp era. I honestly think this is it for him now at Leicester even if RVN is booted, why would a manager (or new board) just stick with the same model that they know can’t work if promoted just to get promoted, any sane thinking (and we hope there will be a change) will be to assemble a team that only requires a small amount of tweaking & quality added if promoted and not a blank sheet again. Hopefully he will be told by whoever, stay and draw you money but your not in my thoughts which will lead him to actively look for something abroad (again I think he is done in England) if he refuses then nothing we can do except keep him away from the 1st team and let him walk his dog around the golf course. I know I bumped the thread but just seeing his name makes my teeth itch, as do a few others in the squad. Mavididi & Winks, I wasn’t convinced of Mavi making it when we were in the championship but he’s good enough for a low end premier team, we should have used him more for nothing other than his pace, as for Winks he’d probably make it in more teams than he wouldn’t in the premier league.

? Burnley play SU on Monday so if Burnley win then SU can’t catch them and they are promoted, if SU win then neither Leeds nor Burnley will be promoted Monday what ever Leeds do. So wins for Leeds & Burnley sees them both promoted on Monday, if Leeds lose then they have to wait regardless of SU / Burnley result. -

Both Leeds n Burnley promoted with wins on Monday -
Has more chance of playing for 🇩🇰 if playing no matter where it is. Hopefully he’s been told by this regime that he won’t be involved again, trouble is this regime probably not going to be making the calls next season, fingers crossed the next make that call quickly.

I was just cropping that to post & say, don’t do it Hamza son 😂

Yep they are, that’s what worries me about the Scott J link & recent rumours of going for Gareth Anscombe for the 10 spot, what a come down that would be Pollard to a soon to be 34yr old it all stinks of short term planning. We need to be setting foundations with these appointments, Rowntree or Lancaster and then Simmonds possibly as the starting 10 with a maverick youngster being groomed to take the shirt.

For us Tigers fans seems our preferred option for 1st team coach Paul Gustard would have been to costly to buy out his contract in France so he’s mostly likely out the running. New name has been mentioned Scott Johnson but stone me he’s 62 and last coached in 2012 so hoping that is someone having a laugh. This appointment needs to be spot on and for the future, Tigers have had 9 coaches in some guise in as many years, it has to stop. These 2 names in the frame are Graham Rowntree and Leon MacDonald ex-All Blacks player and assistant coach who is probably the sexy option but how long would it be before we are looking again if he has success here, also he’s recently signed for Western Force?? So Rowntree I’d imagine would be the fans long term option pick, get the club back to how it was back in his day. It’s not the sexy option as he does favour the physical side of the game but he at least acknowledges that the games changed and adapted his Munster side to the faster game adding in some attacking flair. Outside of those 2 there is still Stuart Lancaster who again would be someone to certainly have a conversation with as he’d want a long term project and don’t see him jumping for another role within 2yrs, so for me it’s between Rowntree and Lancaster and wouldn’t mind either. We just need it sorting, we need at least 2 #10s in and I’d rather the coach have a say than the bloody board decide according to the finance ledger. As an aside, the board needs a shake up also.

Issue that any central midfield player & in fact Chelsea themselves have, is Fernandez & Caicedo. These 2 cost almost more than our combined current squad MV coming in at just shy of €250m for the pair, there isn’t a single manager being allowed to drop the pair especially in the premier Lge. Fernandez has missed 2 games through injury otherwise the pair have played just about every minute of every PL match & I wouldn’t be surprised if that is coming from the board, as good as the players are. When you spend that money on 2 players things start to revolve around them regardless of manager or other talent within the squad, they still only 24/23 so unless they leave it don’t bode well for any CM positional player and the team if Enzo can’t get them working in his formation (Again as good as they are).
-
With him seemly frozen out of matchday squads by yet another manager can we now agree that the issue is his inabilities & not the manager that “doesn’t play to his strengths” (still not sure what they are). I would imagine that even Enzo would have dropped him in the premier Lge after 5 or 6 drubbings, the man needs to go and play abroad now.
-
& let’s hope Hamza plays nice with him

Birmingham showing ambition or lunacy, St Andrews is just shy of 30k yes you could get another 10k supporters but another 30k? Also 5yr plan to have this state of the art complex up & running, in the past 10yrs (since our Prem title win) BHM have not been higher than 17th in the Championship finally succumbing to the drop to Lge 1 last season, yes they are now going straight back up into the championship but the previous 10yrs doesn't suggest they will be lighting it up anytime soon. Awfully big risk to try & put down bigger roots when their position in the league isn't a great 1 & they won't be getting any help from the council to prop up any shortfall in funding not in the state they are in themselves.

Newcastle don’t half have some whingers mind

Expert analysis happened in this and every match day thread on this forum it’s not just the ex-players that are made to look foolish. After 15mins of this game it was predicted on here that PSG were going smash Villa, players like Rashford, McGinn and Martinez all singled out as not being good enough at this level, only for later to miss out on winning with the 2 former players being being subbed off as the reason they probably lost……when will poster realise a games at least 90mins long 🤷♂️
-
Youri Tielemans has had a hand in 13 goals in all competitions this season, his best tally in a single campaign since 2020-21 for Leicester (15 - 9 goals, 6 assists)
-
1 thing for sure, the loans we will go after should not be our best players or fill a hole we urgently need to fill…unless we can secure options to buy if promoted.

Red tops: Former England boss Sam Allardyce is ready to make a return to football at any time.

I get it can be done, anything ‘can’ happen in any given season but these, I’ll say anomalies, generally don’t last for the beholder as well we know. This time last season Forest we’re just outside the relegation spots on GD’s alone and didn’t finish very strongly really only winning 2 of the last 5 and other results going in their way to stay in the league finishing 17th. I hope they do do it, but we know what happens now for a club their size, they will probably keep all their better players due to them being able to play in the CL, we lost Kante which was huge for us, but after fighting on more fronts and probably players playing for the CL more than the PL league position starts to dip coupled with massive spends by the money clubs as they did with the wake up call of our amazing season. This then sees Forest have a, I’ll say, more in keeping season for a club that size, which has the knock on due to financial reward players have been given, larger transfer fees & salaries for players usually out of their reach & players expectations (heads) now elevated seeing them look for moves to clubs established in CL teams. Next season do we honestly see Man C in 6th place with 7 games remaining or Man U & Spurs in 13-14th, not a chance. A club like ours needs gradual progress to succeed not these 1 off successes which do more harm than good overall, I would rather our house be sorted over the coming years than bounce up/down/up with a high manager and player turnover is what I’m getting at with the statement of we need to be looking for the next few seasons of becoming established in the PL not reaching for the stars before we have ground control.
-
I hated the thought of Dyche despite he probably is good enough to get us up but it was the thought of what then as his contract will be expensive and for at least 3 possibly 4yrs he’s not a ok I’ll take 1yr to see if I can get you up manager. But We need a reset, what are we, what is the 1, 3, 5yr plan? It’s proved with STH & Burnley that clubs coming up can’t try to adopt the possession based style that served them well in the championship as you need everyone of them to be comfortable with the ball and generally those are the top players we can’t afford. We need to learn to walk before daring to attempt to run again, we need to get back to being an old Leicester, Palace style club a club happy to be in the Premier league regardless of position, just stay there. A club that knows what it is, with a squad that is together, no fancy dans just a solid hardworking unit who will lose games yes but make it bloody hard for the opposition but have the ability to steal the odd point or 3 that maybe they shouldn’t have. So up step a Dyche style manager who will build and fit the brief of the above, we also as a fan base need to accept this, so no more of this nonsense of we should be comfortably in the top 10 or pushing for top 6 like the beginning of this season, that doesn’t show a lack of ambition it shows an awareness of the reality we find ourselves in. Once this has been achieved we can then look to the future.
