My advise is to then not look at what Sheff Wed or Oxford are doing, just put all concentrations on our team and back them. I think we have seen despite our team not being the premier team that the papers portray because of the Leicester name along with who the manager is, teams are setting up accordingly. Yesterday posts were this MK Dons team are the worst ive seen and we still can’t win but they were there to defend, pack that box and force shots from out wide, then try and hit us when we have 10 players in their half, they did their job. Are teams doing that to Sheff W or Oxford, if not once they start going on a run they will I’m sure. We need the press noise to stop being around us & just build quietly from the outside, as they say it’s a marathon.

You can’t have the reset you need without funding it, also how many teams actually build a forever squad to get out of these leagues, you need to get to where you want to be before building to stay there / pushing on. Big reset everyone seems to want is on, the clubs up for sale for goodness sake which will also mean the end of Rudkin, but this isn’t as simple as putting your Ford fiesta on auto trader and having it sold next week, can’t some take the bigger picture, clubs up for sale, the majority of the squad is new, it’s been 3 games and just draw the line? Everything else is just ‘if’…if we stay like this we will be relegated but what ‘if’ in 3 or 4 games time we gel and we get promoted 🤷‍♂️

No you’re right he’s had 3 games sack him, sack De Zeba sack Lampard, Emery, Hayen, Heckingbottom & even our fans pick Mark Robins for all not being top Credit as in he wasn’t part of the past 3 seasons 🤷‍♂️

Surely there needs to be a line in the sand, 1 side is the drop from the premier Lge and the other is the start of the next chapter. We are currently on a reset which everyone on this forum was calling for yet there are still boos ringing out and even worse from the armchair. Yesterday 15 of the 18 man travelling squad were either not here or played very little (Page, Aluko & Souttar’s 2games) leaving just Thomas, Stol & BCDR that played any part of the last 3 seasons & yet the negativity continues. Surely even the manager is allowed some credits or is he guilty by his previous jobs and that’s that, some are so wired against him he could hand them the title and they will still say it will fall apart, but in that moment does it matter? Then Top and Rudkin, but even they have tried to correct the mess, everything down from Rudkin is new & the clubs up for sale so again who cares about those 2 in this moment. It’s said the club hinges on this season surely we should all be doing our upmost to ensure the new chapter is a success and booing after 1 game doesn’t really set a positive tone through-out the club.

Spot on, Hrgovic said it himself after coming back in after the 1st round he saw Itauma boxing like an amateur going for the big hit and win within 2-3rds, he was blowing after that 1st round, all he had to do was weather the storm and he knew he had him. The Step up involves the brain and a sound game plan not just it worked before so I’ll just keep doing it.

At the same time Ric we are 3 games in and those kids are still running on adrenaline with no real pressure. I think we will need the likes of Chaplin & Burns when there is pressure when we are 25-30games in which ever end of the table that comes, at some point Howell will need Burns, the team will need Chaplin & the defence will need Souttar/an experienced CB. But yes the kids are currently outperforming the snr players

I could give you 4 others that play the same style as RM & another 6 or so that have an adaptation of the style but will always start from the back that’s 10 managers from Lge 1 alone….what is this perception fans and the papers have that it’s only Pep & Martin that play a possession & out from the back football style 🤷‍♂️

Ooh I agree but in the main if thought of enough to go to Man City in what ever capacity the chances are you’re not going to end up at Bishops Stortford from a Watford but yes an outside chance. I think my main point away from attitudes etc is that these kids sometimes need protecting from themselves and from their advisors. If we go back to 2015 and look at Patrick Robert’s then 15 in Fulham’s academy with what looks like the world at his feet & with comparisons to a young Messi & was already playing in the England U20 he jumps to Man C then it all goes wrong career wise. He basically spent the following 7yrs bouncing around out of a suitcase until finally in 2022 he gets a free transfer to Sunderland who were in League 1. He got his life back and helped get them to the premier league, he is still only 29 & plays for Birmingham now. This is a kid that had the world at his feet but almost his entire career he’s spent on loan and his total transfer costs are under €12.5m. What happened with that jump from Fulham to Man C given the quality he had? It’s this I worry for Monga, Man C don’t spend 10m for a lad to be an eventual starter he’s there as part of the money churn and I feel he will bounced around the CFG circuit gathering CFG credits before eventually selling him on as a Man C academy product & there are no guarantees where that will be. I also believe it would be the same for Page going to Man U for 15m he will be looked over because they will buy someone else for 55m+ to play that position and offset that cost with loans and a future sale of Page. What might have happened to Robert’s, he had already got minutes in the premier league with Fulham 1mth after his 15th birthday including 35mins against Man C which probably stoked their initial interest but Fulham were relegated that season which then allowed him to get 17 games in the championship before Man City got him in the winter window of 14/15 season. Fulham got promotion 2yrs later Robert’s would have been a solid part of that team had he stayed and still only 17 instead he found himself in the SPL before going on this mega loan tour I think options would have been sizeable for 17yr old who would have been part of promoted size. In his case we can’t blame his attitude as every manager he worked under gave him a glowing reference for his professionalism and hard work, his downfall was getting into a machine far to early.

And for the 10m without grumbling

Surely Souttar’s a better option than Hyam & Vyner for Wrexham especially to play that centre CB position.

He’s 31 in 4mths and knows as long as Kane has it’s least 1 foot he’ll be the 1st player on the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 team sheet so no point hanging around for any hope of playing for England. A 3yr deal over there will take him to 4mths shy of 35 & bank him £36m in the process.

Listening to John McGinn on the football vault with Roy Keane etc totally backs up most of my comments about academy players of today. He says himself for most the pinnacle of their careers will be to play in a premier league U21 team, ideally for a top 6 team because at that point they believe they have made. He talks of to much to soon, bad attitudes, lack of drive and zero professionalism to really kick on. Most of my comments mirrored what McGinn is saying when the likes of Motsi or the other few that went to man C or Liverpool & posters were saying good on them, they will achieve bigger things, earn more and if it don’t work out there they will get a good move elsewhere….at 15, 16, 17 possibly a little older as well, all they want is to be linked by name to 1 of those big clubs for their ego. I even tried to counter the argument of if it doesn’t work out they get a good move with examples of kids leaving home town academies such as Watford at 15 to spend 6yrs floating around in the loan system to lower league teams before ending up at somewhere like Hull, .6yrs to go from Watford to Hull…score ! But they don’t care because for those 6yrs they have strutted around saying they played for Man C. I can see it certainly with some of our current crop who haven’t even played a senior competitive game for us let alone a Man C, there is just something about them you can pick out regardless of ability.

Ipswich have spent €200m this summer with Abraham to come although that’s a loan…if you spend €200m in 1 window the minimum expectation is to stay up.
