I'm surprised that Monga didn't feature for Swansea last night, he's been there a week long enough to get a place on the bench surely. Seems an odd destination given they do have a few LW & only just spent 6.5m on Opoku this summer, i wonder if he will get the amount of minutes Man C & he will be expecting. In other games Motsi was an unused sub in Man C U19 loss to Porto U19 last night, will assume to give him a flavour of the bright lights.

Whilst the nominees were pretty weak how in gods earth does Mrs Browns Boys continue to win awards as they did last night at the NTA’s it’s utter muck & well past it’s sell by date.

Cant really teach that, it comes with experience. Yes Martin can tell them till he’s blue in the face in training and he could even go up and down his box instructing the near side FB like I think Rodgers did with Chiwell was it? But the FB has to actually do it & build up a sixth sense. I know if Martin was to do this or completely have them rigid he’ll be pinged for coaching the attack out of them. Again not sticking up for Martin I want him gone like everyone else but young players will always make mistakes & need guiding but at the same time have to take some of the accountability.

I agree with you fella & certainly not sticking up for Martin but 3 goals came when Bobby and Burns weren’t on the pitch. No haven’t seen Souttar’s interview. Sammy, Page & Alves will always look the best & look the worst as they are central and everything goes through them, you can’t really teach someone how to manage a game that comes with experience but that will come.

I know you meant experienced players letting us down there but You do need balance. I said after the Plymouth win that the young lads nearly cost us the victory because they were still making start of the game decisions in that final 20mins that they couldn’t execute because of tiredness, it will be this type of thing that gets the young lads pinged. In those moments it’s about protecting the lead not trying to rack up a cricket score by forcing the play, you score because in those moments the opposition over commit trying to force play…for all the slating of Burns he was trying to manage that final 20mins, unlike McFarlane, who I didn’t think warranted the praise he was getting, was a bloody hindrance in that period. I don’t understand why we signed Cullen but he wasn’t in the squad thank god, McCarthy wouldn’t have been on the pitch had Jakub not been injured & the time of their 2nd goal there was only Souttar, Thomas and Riis as experienced players on the pitch but Burns, BCDR still getting some. Even my gran knows after a goal it’s the most dangerous part of a game and they never managed it so the 2nd was quickly followed by a 3rd. I imagine they are getting pinged because of their inexperience in this management of a game and not trying to personally blame them. Ideally Lundstram or someone of his experience would have been able to come on but we don’t have a a CM / DCM to come on current so Page and Sammy are going to have to learn quickly. I’m not slating or sticking up for anyone but there is an issue when any team has a lack of experience or leaders on a pitch, Chaplin & Lundstram are key and will make a huge difference. Ditto Martin also needs to front up and adapt, I would hope we won’t see Thomas at CB again and Souttar’s on thin ice. As an aside, didn’t we have a load of posts stating they would be happy to watch and stay in the lower leagues if they were watching the academy lads & them giving it some regardless of result?

Yep sorry basic salary she will also have bonuses and commercial agreements which puts her up with the highest paid players in the women’s game & probably only 2nd to Rodman. Of course her name should bring in huge revenue for lionesses to offset this but still for an independent woman’s team going into only their 2nd season in the WSL with all the other major signings I’m sure the other clubs will be looking out for their books in the next reporting period.

Chaplin, Lundstram & O’Hora I feel will be huge signings for their experience & before you have chance to groan at the word experience, the lack of nearly cost us the win on Tuesday night. It was great to see the young lads attacking at every opportunity but there’s a time and place to go all guns blazing & 15mins to go when 2 up and about to record a 1st win isn’t 1 of them. I see Burns was getting a lot of stick when he came on but what I saw was someone trying to manage a game, yes he might have gone down the wing for the ball only to find itself back with Souttar but that eats up time, he wasn’t getting down to their box looking up seeing no one and just pumping the ballin or trying to take on a few more, he also drew a few cheap fouls. Compare that to McFarlane, Page and Braybrooke who rightly were on their arse but not realising they were mentally drained also and just kept going for the jackpot…I know in our heart of hearts we would encourage it also but it wasn’t the right thing to do at that time. Watson added to the issue being young and enthusiastic also, being fresh he was having ago and had McFarlane overlapping him meaning the whole of our left side was open for a counter which they did numerous times & probably should have at least drawn in those last 5-10mins with better finishing and McCarthy pulling out a few stops. Lundstram will be invaluable in those periods along with those other 2 in just calming things down, we all want to see goals but had we threw that away Tuesday everyone would have blamed Martin but it wasn’t his fault directly it was down to a lack of experience in managing a game from the young lads.

Solid defender who doesn’t treat the ball like a grenade & a leader too. Hibs signed Marko Ivezic as his replacement so sadly not sure they will be looking at our surplus.
