Maybe. But this looks like a 5-3-2. Which is different most of the season. š¤·

As it stands, Iām not sure there is a better starting eleven available to this manager right now, or to anyone that might replace him. It is what it is. But Marti has to get some sort of performance from the dross available to him.

Has to be a wind-up. Nobody could watch Carranza last match and think āYep, Iāll pick him for the next matchā. Surely?! š³ -
Agree. He was injured. But he sprinted initially. Then gave up. Then sprinted again when the penny dropped as to how dangerous the situation was.
-
Abysmal. Gave up for their second Shocking.
-
Heās just a fractionally quicker version of Carranza. Awful.

Quite possibly the worst āfirst teamā striker weāve ever had on our books. No pace. No strength. No height. No touch. No energy. No physicality. Absolutely abysmal. -

Several of our players are actually unsure which way they should be facing. The resulting confusion often leads to them just laying down, instead. -
Iād wager heavily that he isnāt getting sacked any time soon. Also, that even if someone replaced him tomorrow, theyād still pick Ayew as our striker. Like it or not, heās the only person on our books capable of playing that role at this level. š
-
Thomas has reached his ceiling - and itās awful. Aluko may not be quite as good right now, but I find it impossible to think he wouldnāt be a lot better by the end of the season, if picked. There is literally nothing to lose as Thomas is just dreadful.
-
He certainly plays like he is.

Itās hard to see changes at scale. Our best front āhalfā now looks set as Winks James Fatawu Ramsey Monga Ayew The haters will moan at Ayew, but he did more up front last night than Daka and Carranza could ever do, as both are utterly hopeless. Evans is just an unrealistic suggestion. The goalkeeper is unlikely to change, too. That only leaves our back four. Vesty will continue to get picked as our best distributor of the ball. Ricardo will likely play as first choice, but only once a week. Assuming heāll replace Hamza, that only leaves two other places up for debate. And I just donāt see him making three changes to our defence. One more at best. This is the squad we have. š„“ Iād love to see Aluko for Thomas, though. š¤ -

Abysmal. -
He is simply awful. Iāve run out of appropriate words to do justice to how poor he is.
-
Beyond awful.
-
Itās so harsh to judge Marti when he doesnāt have a striker worthy of the designationā¦ā¦.but the signs are not great. The performances are dire, collectively and individually. Organisation is shocking. No evidence of any tactical improvement. And, as we canāt sack off the players, (sadly), this may not end well unless there is a drastic improvement. š
-
Dakaās ability to come second in every foot-race never fails to impress me.
-
Heās awful. But the truth is we have nobody better. Play Aluko and let him grow. Thomas has already reached his ceiling. And itās a low-beam, Elizabethan cottage. š
-
That came from Thomas intercepting a ball with the touch of an under 10. How can you play football every day, all your life, and not be able to have a better first touch than that? š«£
-
The combined wisdom of FT has denounced the starting line-up. Excellent news. A 0-3 victory is now assured and I can go about my business this evening without needing to watch. š
-
There are very few questions to which Carranza is the answer.
-
This. Itās brilliant and so captures our club and mentality.
