Echo that. Will always be grateful to him for getting us up, but it was a seriously hard watch for significant parts of the season. Will be curious to see if he can add sparkle to that style with better players and a different level of financial support. But won’t give him a second thought a couple of months from now.

I’m probably a lone voice on this, but I do have a worry that Mads in the EPL - with higher, faster, more effective pressing and better/more penetrative crossing - may not be the solid bet that many think he is going to be.

That’s the well-functioning operation at MC that are facing 115 charges of financial misconduct?

If he’s being offered that at this stage of his career, then we’ve learned nothing. He’s a genuine legend, and we all live the man beyond words, but it’s still a business and needs to be run like one. We’ve seen how it plays out when it’s run like a hobby. And it’s not good.

According to BBC sport, Norwich fans singing this to Birmingham fans. This has made me chortle. By the end it had all gone very quiet, except for the 2,000 travelling Norwich fans who taunted their hosts with a chant of “Que sera sera, whatever will be will be, you’re going to Shrewsbury”.

Looking ahead to next year, I’d rather it was Maidstone and Yeovil.

I’m one of many that has had serious misgivings about our football at times this season. But the players, staff, coaches and manager have my absolute respect for getting this club back to the EPL. Enzo might be a stubborn mule, but he’s now a successful one and for that we should all be eternally grateful to the man. Fabulous achievement.

Love a bit of ‘circle of life’ stuff. Went with my mates and saw us clinch promotion in 80s away at Orient and home to Burnley, (I think it was Burnley). Now my lad has the opportunity to witness a promotion night with his mates live on Monday. There will, (hopefully), be a popping cork and a shared comparison or two in the TrentFox household on his return the following day……
