I’d agree with those who have said the title winning season was worse. Don’t think I enjoyed any of it after Christmas - too busy crapping myself every week up until the majesty of Chelsea and confirmation. Then it was just surreal.

I’m completely wasted now. Half way through a bottle of Red Breast. The game seems quite far off currently, perhaps an impossibly long way off. doesn’t matter as we will win - 1-3. It is written.

Enzoball is fine in and of itself, at times, but games are fluid things. If you put yourself in a rigid box you cannot react to the dynamics of a game. We are not here to win the possession stat competition. Possession is well and good but we proved it matters little. The rigidity of the system is quite obviously something that is now hampering us. We cannot play with any freedom or passion, and you need passion in spades to get out of this league. Quite bizarrely it’s all still in our hands, but for how long? I feel we are going to need others to keep stumbling. As for Enzo, I still maintain that ANY competent manager would have done as well or better with this squad. I don’t think he’s the messiah, I do think he is becoming his own worst enemy.

Are some people still clinging to the delusion that Enzo is the messiah? He’s not. He’s a very naughty boy.
