If we’ve sold KDH for £30m but agreed to sign a lad from Chelsea for £5m doesn’t that effectively mean Chelsea got KDH for £25m? Cheap if so. Not complaining by the way I think it’s the right move for the club sadly at KDH’s expense.
-
Without the sale of KDH we would have again failed PSR, publicly stated by multiple ITK journalists. So yes we have effectively told him he has to leave, I would imagine that’s why he was at the training ground with Rudkin the day of the Cooper interview.
-
3 minimum needed if you include a couple of no.10’s and that’s including Wilf.
-
Seems a tidy player from that highlight video, one thing I did notice though is he seems very one footed. Promising core for the future though, we will have four England u18 starters in Nelson, Alves, Braybrooke and Golding. Great foundation to build on and all play in separate positions.

Truthfully I think KDH would have struggled to fit in under Cooper. Having looked at Cooper’s set up’s, his midfield usually consists of a ball winning midfielder, deep lying playmaker and a creative number 10. KDH doesn’t fall under any of those categories.

Why would you stay somewhere you’re not wanted? I’m lucky enough to have grown up playing football at academy level, but one thing that’s so clear seeing friends playing professionally is people treat footballers like robots, they are still human. Let’s put it in everyday terms, you turn up to work and get told you no longer have a role in a team and unfortunately they need to transfer you to another team and if you don’t do that effectively the company would be ****ed. Then you know moving forward management would believe it’s your fault for the mess as you refused to leave and everyday you have to go into work feeling uncomfortable. What would you do? Naturally you’ll either look elsewhere for a job or transfer to the other team as you are no longer wanted. It’s sh*t but your cards have effectively been dealt for you. I am struggling to understand how you are not seeing this?

After being told he needs to leave? He’s chosen a manager that he had his best season under and a team that’s going to pay him stupid money. Let alone the fact he will live in London and re unite with Madders, Chilwell etc in London. Your seeming to forget that we’ve effectively forced him out to cover our own negligence. So if you think that warrants stick then I don’t know what to tell you.
-
Perfect, was originally gonna say it’s irrelevant as long as it covers PSR but would of been nice rinsing them for a few more million, especially if we sign the young lad for £5/£10m effectively means we’ve sold KDH for £20/£25m.
-
Dumb post, he publicly stated he hasn’t requested to leave. He’s clearly been forced out to cover PSR. Anyone that gives KDH stick for leaving needs to give their head a wobble.

For any PSR guru’s how does the 3 year cycle get decided? Is it current season and previous 2 seasons or do they set out specific 3 year periods? Basically what I am asking, in terms of amount made for KDH does it carry over for future PSR seasons or will it effectively just cover this 3 year cycle and be irrelevant on the books from tomorrow onwards? I hope that makes sense

He’s better in the build up play in my opinion too.

Is the main source Nixon?

I would definitely take Fofana in the deal. Truly believe if he gets a manager that fills him with confidence that he could be really good. Quick, good vision, dribbling ability and can hold the ball up. If you shown me these highlights of him at Molde, he would be one of my main targets.

Respectfully what was Enzo supposed to do? He stated he didn’t want to play in a back 3? first of all it was in the past from Enzo’s perspective and secondly why would he question key players attitudes/behaviours that are staying, for a lad not staying. Sounds harsh but it’s reality. I’ll be honest though I think VK is massively overrated on this forum.

I’m more shocked to find out JJ is still only 26!

Just seen some highlight videos of Moder, seems the exact same mould of player as Soumare?
-
more of a winger.
-
for him it would make no financial sense when he is likely getting offered minimum 3 year contracts elsewhere. Financial guarantee is essential for athletes because of injuries so he is more likely to take a longer contract elsewhere.
-
He has to mutually agree.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

The problem is it is all subjective, their counter argument will be how do you determine a young players value with the market being the way it currently is for youth players regardless of the obvious reasoning behind the prices, so many teams involved makes it hard to challenge. Man City did it in the smartest way buying younger academy products with sky high potential and coaching them up and selling them for a profit, players like Harwood-Bellis will continue that trend this summer. Buying youth does not show on PSR, however the income received for them does. Which for me is stupid in its own right and is now takes away a big element of scouting local kids or sticking with them and coaching weaknesses, when you have a free pass to just go and buy a replacement for them instead. If this is the route football starts taking, less kids will get the opportunities in academies, especially in the later years. -
One of the main reasons I wanted Corberan so good to see the same traits in Cooper.

I think for me whilst I agree with the majority of what you are saying, the continuous lack of communication to fans and ignorance of the everyday fan's experience are not excusable regardless of the above. Take Union FS as a prime example, they have pushed for safe standing, they have sent requests regarding tifo's which appear to be ignored. Despite last season Enzo showing how vital that section of fans were and have been, yet this is continued to be ignored even with managers stating their importance. This is without even going down the route of discussing people's roles such as John Rudkin. Whilst as a collective no one could of expected the relegation session and they have made some good decision making to fix that, some things should not be ignored as they are not excusable, especially when it is relating to the heartbeat of the club (fans).

Arseholes.

Would be cool to see some sort of tifo first game of the season of something like “steve cooper’s blue army” set the mindset early with regards to backing the lads and manager.

Positives on the impending Cooper appointment

The fact that one uses wingers and the other didn’t?
