Yeah I’ve made a mistake, I’ve realised myself it’s possible, so now I’m believing it’s happening . Now wait for only one of the three to happen!!! Hahaha.

Whilst I agree with you I am stuck on two ways of thinking regarding this. 1) Rudkin was being typical Rudkin, faffed about earlier in the window thinking he’s a master negotiator and losing deals as a result of it then hitting the panic button and trying to get several deals completed at once. 2) Either the deals for the likes of Zaha and Hlozek weren’t available at the beginning of the window or they wanted too much money initially and have since lowered their demands. With regards to Fatawu whilst I’m not keen on the idea and would rather we sign an actual attacking left back, could you imagine whilst attacking a front line of Fotis Fatawau, Mav/Hlozek, Buonanotte, Zaha That’s filthy.

Who do you want for next season in the PL

Because currently we need Thomas and Ward as back ups. Thomas is the only back up option to VK and Ward is currently back up to Mads with Storlarczyk being injured. -

This would be naughty. I haven’t even seen anyone linked with Doughty, so not sure what fee they would want for him. -
Definitely need an attacking left back, said on a different thread I’m very surprised they didn’t go for Sessegnon on a free transfer would have been ideal.

Even though it seems to good to be true, I honestly think we are in for all three of Fotis, Hlozek and Zaha. Throughout all of Pre-season Cooper has said he wants two players competing for every position. Both McAteer and Cannon have been linked with several loan moves to the championship which would indicate they don’t think they are good enough for the prem. Buonanotte does not count towards the max loan restriction due to his age, meaning we can have two more loans as well as Buonanotte. Which would leave us with the following: Wingers - Mav, Fatawau, BDR, 1x needed CAM - Buonanotte, 1x needed Striker - Vards, Daka, 1x needed Zaha, Fotis and Hlozek fill all those gaps. It may be wishful thinking from me but I think this is the clubs way of going for it but utilising the loan market smartly to lower the cost.
-
I will say though if this guy can make it click in the prem within a year or two he will be worth £50/£60m, got so many traits that the top 6 would love.

Very surprised we didn’t go for Sessegnon on a free.

Fotis was my dream striker signing on my list, refusing to allow myself to get excited since @moore_94 said to get excited last time around

He wouldn’t get the touch of the ball with this style of play. Ball will go straight over his head.

Don’t want to sound like a broken record but every game I’ve watched, it’s got me thinking afterwards of how much I wish we got Corberan in.

Absolutely awful first half and worryingly the worse I’ve seen us this pre-season. No identity whatsoever punting it long over the top hoping the speed will get us in but no one’s even making a run, 11 men behind a ball against a mid table French side. No idea if Wilf is playing as a second striker or CAM but he’s absolutely useless in that role. Most concerning, the players look frustrated and I’ve seen bickering with each other on several occasions. Players are trying to instruct each other what they need to do with Cooper stood on the sideline doing nothing. Wilf - Useless. Kristensen - Poor. Fatawu - Looks like the kid that was rapid at school but couldn’t kick a ball to save his life. Daka - couldn’t hold off a fly. Justin - Has he touched the ball or made a single run forward? Only positives I’ve seen is Okoli has looked commanding and a good physical presences Hamza trying his hardest to set the tempo of the press but no one engaging in the press with him, he’s appeared frustrated with the lack of support multiple times. Concerning. Bet those wishing for Maresca out would be secretly happy to have him back now

Wouldn’t be shocked if we tried to get Chilwell back on loan. -
Seems a bit too similar to winks but more forward thinking with his passing, can’t see them working together in a 2.

Exactly what we should be doing with the stage we are at. Spend the money on a couple of young quality gems that have great resale value and loan the areas that need strengthening without causing a mess financially. To find players on a permanent that strengthen the starting 11 in the following positions is going to cost a minimum of £80m. Left back CAM Winger Midfielder Striker

I completely get people talking about Szmodics only doing it for one season and I’m neither against or for Szmodics in all fairness but his finishing last season was elite level. Watch his goals back, the majority are well placed quality finishes and he doesn’t require 3 chances to get one goal.

Yes please, everytime I’ve seen Keita play he reminds me very much of Mainoo, similar style of players.

Don’t know if they will let him leave, but I would happily have Harry Amass here for a year on loan. -

In all seriousness tho this is where all the dummies that support Rudkin and KP like they can do no wrong, will say “they can’t help how much they have to spend because of PSR” Yet will ignore the fact he spent 1/3 of the budget on an area we are most well stocked. -

Surely that budget was pre KDH sale otherwise the budget was initially £10-£20m! -
Chelsea only have £8.5m of his transfer left on the books so anything over that price will be a profit for them regardless.
-
Most I would probably feel comfortable the club paying before it becomes an overpay is £18m plus add ons. £25m seems very steep.
-
Hopefully get a couple of million on a loan fee.
-
Absolute mental fee. Man City only had £8.5m left on the books of the original transfer so making a profit of £72.5m!!!
-
I like Carvalho but I worry Liverpool are going to want over £20m and he’s not worth that in my opinion. I do wonder whether we are looking at spending £20m on a couple of players or just the one. Him and Asprilla would be very good business with resale value and would give you depth in the 3 behind the striker with Fatawu, Stephy, Reid, Carvalho and Asprilla.
