Leicester vs Birmingham - FA Cup - Match Thread

I think the frustrating thing is that the younger players have not done badly, whilst there have been some real below par performances from senior players. -
Leicester vs Birmingham - FA Cup - Match Thread

I’ve said this a few times but don’t waste your time on Alves yet, leave him to get fit until next season, Nelson is the one to get excited about. -
Funky Forest?
-
This is why Praet is starting tomorrow…
-
Yes so do I, just because he’s scoring in the championship doesn’t suddenly make him a top class striker !
-
He doesn’t have to be a top class striker to score goals in the championship.
-
Same agent as Enzo …
-
I presume the reason for its popularity would be down to its uniqueness as the only sport-only station.
-
You’re definitely right about the Wes thing, although think it was hard to prove whether he was over the limit. Think he played against Palace away 2013 2-2, the day it was in the paper. Probably captained us too. However, drink driving isn’t a silly mistake in my opinion, as it potentially has fatal consequences that are so easily avoidable! I don’t think he should have played yesterday, especially with the added circumstances that he shouldn’t have been drinking then, they had days off earlier in the week where he could have had a good time!

The Running Thread (formerly How fast can you run a 5k?)

I’ve had the same pair of ASICS for the last 3/4 years, buying a new pair every 6 months(before any Trigger broom handle jokes). I still always have to wear them round the house for a day or two, or even walk the dog in them, before a first run to avoid an issue. -
He will be at the club as long as Enzo is at the minimum, because he shares the same agent.
-
I thought he was good but shouldn’t have been playing left back, got caught a number of times by Burns over the top, which was just down to positioning or not being switched on enough due to unfamiliarity of position.. His tackling was excellent and I’d have liked to have seen him move centrally during the game.

Charged with drink driving according to the Sun.
-
I understand your point but I think for this game, Albrighton is needed. I’d play Mcateer against Birmingham and possibly Swansea.
-
I want to play Albrighton because of his leadership. Plus a purple patch for Mcateer does not equate to a proven goal scorer.
-
Hermansen Faes, Vestegaard Doyle, Ricardo, Winks Yunus, KDH/Praet(banking on one of them being fit) Albrighton, Mavididi Cannon.

Emerging Talent Identifier job at LCFC.

According to that info regarding the club, nothing happened on Filbert way between 1884 and 2014. Wonder what a competitive salary is for this role? -
It makes no sense why we wouldn’t sell Iversen for 4 million in the summer, especially when Enzo had him below Ward in the pecking order.
-
I don’t think we’d get more than 15 million for either. It’s outrageous that we’ve lost such supposedly valuable assets or are going to, for free. Soyuncu (Fulham bidding 20 million), Tielemans, Iheancho, Ndidi etc.
-
Yes I agree that’s a possibility with promotion but I don’t see how we could have considered a 10million fee with our FFP situation, this year. Perhaps just 30 minutes in the fa cup? I’m not sure he could play vs Birmingham and then Swansea on the following Tuesday!
-
I’m not sure we could ever have contemplated a permanent deal for Doyle this season.

LCFC must offer General Sale to fans
westernpark replied to Union FS's topic in Leicester City Forum
All I can say is well done to those who have persevered with this. I will always have a season ticket and have had for 18 years but that started with my Dad buying general sale tickets back then! -
Yes you’re right but there are of course nuances that mean war or exchanges doesn’t end up with that escalation. I don’t know what Putin is thinking but I have become increasingly confident that even he is aware, to the point he is simply on that front of pushing the boundary to the point of just avoiding any nuclear escalation. Obviously dangerous but he is a product of that era, when nuclear annihilation was always a possibility.
-
I believe he wants to cause issues for NATO countries, border skirmishes and so on but this could be amplified with Trump in the White House. The plans leaked in BILD are worrying to read but I would imagine such scenarios and domino events are planned for all the time. This is why it is so important we keep funding Ukraine.
-
This is why anyone who supports Trump, even theoretically from a European country, is being a bit stupid.
