We have a lot of youth with resale value (Page, Alves, Aluko, Braybrooke and others). The question I have is what senior players will be left? Thomas, Hamza, Okoli, Skipp? We do need some experience. I just want a squad that is somewhat harmonious, works hard and generally gives fans a reason to come t with them.

I’ve seen lots of PSR chat in all the topics. Freeing up wages is a real saving and money in is real money vs. running down a book value. Put another way we could keep all our players and pay their wages and never take a PSR hit - it doesn’t make actual financial sense While PSR and the League One equivalent are important, the best way to control costs is actually to get rid of them.

I wouldn’t pay him off, tell him to find a club to ideally buy him or at least cover his wages in his final season.

He’s the sort of player that if you base the whole team around him, tell him he’s great and things are generally going well, will be great. Next season may well bring all of that and Winks will be a star man. Or another season of an unfit team, zero confidence and zero plan.

I think the reality is that the out of contract players plus a few more saleable players go - Abdul, Jordan James, Faes. A few will be loaned out, Winks, Hamza, Okoli possibly Kristianson I can see interest in Nelson and Monga but neither has demonstrated that they had PL potential yet as this side drags everyone down.
