I doubt anyone would want to watch this fodder every week, most would rather we play the way we do but quicker and actually create some chances. From a footballing perspective, it was dreadful. From a Millwall perspective, they'll be delighted. From an LCFC perspective, it's extremely frustrating to watch.
-
Not really, people just saying it as it is. Crap and boring. I'm sure we'll be better 2nd half but that was utterly garbage and yes I'm aware that the poor quality is also because of how Millwall and most teams in this league approach games against us
-
Poor 1st half, and need a huge improvement 2nd half. I'm not bothered/concerned by the scoreline, I'm bothered/concerned by the fact we've created very little and barely laid a glove on them. These are such a poor side and we are just so slow and ponderous and often sloppy in possession.

Must win!

You do realise that Mads is following orders from Enzo. Of course Enzo isn't telling to give a goal away like he did against Birmingham and also against Blackburn, but even the top keeprs like Allison and Ederson this can happen to as they are being told to play a certain way by the manager. Mads doesn't walk out onto the field thinking yeh I'm gonna play like an arrogant bell end today, he plays as instructed by Enzo. Enzo even told him after his mistake that if he let it affect him or change the way the team plays, he'd take him off for Stolarczyk. Many don't like Enzos tactics and that's fine but don't slate the keeper, who has been magnificent for most of this season, when he's only playing the way he's told to by the manager.

Scorelines are not important at this stage of the season, it's about getting the points. Of course we should be hammering all the teams in the bottom half of the table but so should Man City in the prem and it doesn't always work out that way. We had plenty of chances on saturday and could have won by 5 or 6 but it's the 3 points that is important. I'm as pissed as anyone that we surrendered the 17 point lead added into the complete shit show off the field but everyone needs to get behind Enzo and the team for the final few games. We can't be unhappy that we haven't won 5-0, we just need to be happy that we are winning and hopefully get promoted.

Watford are a funny side and their away form isn't terrible, wouldn't surprise me if they sneaked something at Ipswich. Leeds are nailed on to win as Sunderland are garbage so we need to ensure we beat Millwall and then see how the table looks after that. We need to aim to win our next 3 so we don't have too much pressure going into Southampton and Preston, although our final 3 oppositions may not have anything to play for depending on how the next few go. Anything can happen and there will be twists and turns and after us blowing a 17 point lead, we can't expect or assume anything until mathematically certain and it's not beyond the realms of possibility that it all gets decided on the final day.

There's just no reason to give that goal away. 2 minutes until half time, why fck about like that. If we don't end up winning this game now then it's a fcking joke

That's pathetic

Something needs to change to make it a more even playing field but all the clubs across Europe need to come together and just stop with the ridiculous wages and transfer fees. Even some of the biggest clubs in the world like Barce and Juve have ended up in financial difficulty, so it's just got to stop. It doesn't matter whether the owners of Man C and PSG etc have endless amounts of money, the game cannot continue the way it is. The big clubs will always have the bigger wages bills and pay the higher transfer fees, but they shouldn't be paying more than £100k a week to any player and the likes of us shouldn't be paying more than £50k a week to any player. Take the money away from the agents and players and make football affordable to all fans again in terms of TV subscriptions, matchday tickets and merch.

I've no issue with Farke being nominated, its Rosenior I don't understand. Leeds, Ipswich and Leicester are all getting 90+ points this season, so all 3 managers should be nominated and Mckenna is the obvious stand out winner in my opinion. I'd argue that Rosenior has underperformed given the players he has at his disposal. Given their January signings as well, they should have motored for the final stretch of the season and been a cert for the play offs, but instead they've been incredibly inconsistent and will most likely not make the play offs. Rosenior is young and I'm sure he'll be a good manager for many years to come but I'm not sure his achievements this season are any better than most managers in this league. If they make the play offs and get promoted, then that will be a different story but seems very unlikely.

You're not allowed to say Ipswich are lucky on here or you get called bitter. But you're right, they have had more luck this season than most teams would get in 5 seasons.

I live in the North West and would love to be able to get to this game. If anyone could get hold of 2 tickets for me I'd be extremely grateful. Otherwise I'll chance my arm at getting in the Preston end but its not the same as being in with your own fans

Should There Be Play-offs in the Football League?
jayfox26 replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
Was having this conversation with my wife's step dad at the weekend and he said years ago it was just a straight 2 up 2 down. Problem with this was that after Easter, most seasons, the promotions and relegation were pretty much sorted so most of the league had nothing to play for for the last stretch of the season and the games became boring. Right now, there are 8-9 teams in the championship that could still get relegated, 3 fighting for the automatics, 1 certain to be in the play offs, 1 already relegated (not technically but near enough), and 6 teams fighting for the other 2 play off places (although I'd say wba are nailed on). If there was no play offs this season then every team from Southampton to Watford would have nothing to play for now. -
Good to see Top, Susan, John and 2 other board members have come on ft so they can vote for "everything's fine"

What would it take to turn on the owners?
jayfox26 replied to MattFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'm willing to give Top a chance but he must clear the board and start a fresh. If Rudkin and Whelan are still here come the summer then he needs to sell up. The only way he can try to turn the club around is by putting people on the board who know how to run a football club. He also needs to over see things more himself. If he can't commit to that due to his work load running KP then he needs to sell. -
At least if we do go up and break Derbys lowest points record, we can say it was down to the points deduction and not because we'll be absolutely shit as we've sold all our best players and can't replace them.

I've always thought that anyone that walks round in "big 6" shirt, must be a tw@t 🤣. I live in the North West though so I'm always surrounded by people wearing man c, man u or Liverpool tops. Had a guy come in my store in a forest shirt the other week, defo a tw@t 🤣
-
Don't blame you. Whilst we would all like to put money into the club, we won't be ripped off! Kit manufacturers are clearly ripping people off and then the clubs rip you off again causing a ridiculous price. Shirts should be £40 on release date and then £20 from March onwards. I've also got 2 kids, and not a chance am I paying £50 each for mini kits.
-
100% agree. I regularly bought new shirts when they were released or had someone buy one for me for my birthday as its in August, but I won't pay the prices now. I can afford to, I just choose not to, as with everything in life, I have a price I'm willing to pay, and if the product I'm wanting to buy is more than what I believe it should be, I won't pay it. I always wait until the end of the season now when they are being sold off, but like the op has said, the current reduced prices are still too much for this stage of the season. I'd pay up to £25 now but anything above that at this stage of the season is too much

We play like we did yesterday, we win out. We play like we did at Bristol C, we finish 3rd.
-
I thought the same until I saw Ipswich's remaining games. They will drop points. Question is, will they drop more than us and/or Leeds? I think Norwich will beat them
-
Please don't come at me with facts, I'm happy in my bitter little bubble where i just see Ipswich as lucky and don't want to give them any credit 🤣
-
Why does every Ipswich game have a minimum of 7 minutes added on at the end? I don't think we ever get that amount if time added on, other than perhaps the 2 games against Ipswich 🤣
-
You're not allowed to say they are lucky on here 🤣
