The boos following the first goal werenât just about going a goal down. They came from a broader narrative of following the likes of the early goal vs Sheff Utd at home, the whole Coventry 2nd half, the whole Wrexham game, the talk in between from manager and players, which proves to be just that, talk, the overall situation, the seasonâŠ.donât make it sound like the crowd were being unreasonably harsh and picky about conceding a single soft goal, it is SO much bigger than that. And it was also so inevitable, like a bad joke, itâs become what this team does. -
Yes Marti, I do have expectations. Expectations that the team will come out and be organised, well drilled, focused, will all want the ball, will move to give team mates passing options, will be brave, show leadership and learn from their mistakes. Also a general expectation that they will try to work to get the ball closer to the oppositions goal than our own.

Great, we needed Pep Guardiola and we employed Alan Titchmarsh

I donât usually challenge strangers but today I calmly and politely asked âWhy are you clapping? What are you applauding? What have you seen thatâs worthy of applause?â They couldnât answer. âSome semi-famous people are clapping you for attending and you feel obliged to clap back? Are you a seal? Are you a mutton headed zombie?â They didnât answer. I think Page & Monga deserve a âwell triedâ but ffs for the others?

ANOTHER Leeds Gray? Which oneâs this, Gray the younger, Gray the even younger, Gray the glint in the milkmanâs eye? Yet another match commentary will be turned into an episode of âwho do you think you areâ as the family tree is dissected and âooh look in the crowd thereâs a GrayâŠ.and anotherâŠ.and anotherâŠâ Breed like rabbits the Grays. -
Struggling Oxford have a new signing, Korean Jin-Woo Jeon, first first game in this country guaranteed-damn-teed to be first scorer. Just the tonic they need! Iâm betting a fiver anyway, would be woode not to.

I heard that a judge from the local court has been giving them out for minor offences instead of fines or community service. On successful appeal the criminal got 3 weeks in jail instead.

Been told that this can happen but only if we can move 3 out.

Maybe we donât have to sack him until the next financial year but put him on gardening leave for gross misconduct (picking Ayew and leaving him on for 90 minutes after witnessing him âplayâ before). Iâll throw in a pack of seeds to get him started, maybe we could all bring some, have a whip round and buy him a wheel barrow. He can take Winks with him as a gnome to sit at the end of the garden contributing nothing. Then use our existing coaches as caretaker manager and hope their team sheets and organisation are better than his

I just laughed at the goal, it was surreal and felt a bit sorry for Wrexham, not that theyâd had to put in much to be in a winning position, it just felt like the wrong conclusion to a half / game where weâd offered nothing. Our previous low under Hollohead, at least the likes of Hume, Macauley, Fryatt and Kisnorbo played like they cared, we had limited players stretching out by giving it a go to try to prevent the relegation, at least trying to turn it around.

Popov has popped off to Morecambe on loan. -
Had we really used our 3 substitution windows last night, Skippâs looked like concussion which I thought shouldnât count?

Go up to Victoria park on a Sunday morning and youâll find someone with better heart, speed, stamina, determination and ball retention than the current mob. Okay, they might have four legs and a tail but a strategic shave and the s**t refs in this league might not notice .

In the first half vs Sheff Utd at home someone said look at that, they want it more than we do. I replied, âBecause they know they have to face Chris Wilder at half time, ours donât worry about that. Imagine putting in what we did in that half and having to face a proper manager like that.â

Dance floor Brannigans 1993âŠme too!

Tomorrow we learn the length of Jamesâ injury, Skippâs concussion injury and get docked 9 points. At least we can look to our new signings for hope though
