It’s absolutely no excuse but I think the “problem” was that usually it’s one player in an offside position, he may have focused on the two furthest forward waiting to see if they become involved in play (I always say they are as they’re affecting the GK’s position). He’s watching those when Maguire comes in from just behind them and he may argue that he can’t have eyes on all 4-5 at the same time. Ditching the “becoming involved” bull rule would stop this happening, he could immediately flag for the lot of them but I would suggest that is what has happened, he’s put all his focus on the 2 furthest forward. Logically did he actually think Maguire had outpaced his marker and got to it first? Harry Usain Bolt in disguise Maguire . Just funny that it’s always rich 6 that get these decisions (or non decisions) go there way. -
That Man Utd offside was hairline, could have gone either way.

Tannoy man “Could the owner of car registration number 5H1T L1N0 please come to reception and pick up your envelope” -
That’s cruel, there was a lot of effort put in but you never ever get a fair game at Old Trafford. They tried to ref it for 90 minutes and their colleagues in black hand them the ultimate gift, stinks the place out.

Reminds me of Mason Mount for England in the Euro Final v Italy. If you want to watch the game buy a ticket like everyone else. Passive but hey he’s a quality all round ‘baller apparently

Cheeeeeeeeeeeeated ! Call it as it is ITV.
-
‘Twas offside, but you’re not allowed to give offside against Utd at home

Starting to think Skipp would have been a better option than Winks for his work rate and constant frowning

Playing with a false 9 now….to go along with our false 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 nuff respect Bilal as a 10, and 11

At this stage I’d take a point to be honest

Pint for Okoli !!!!
-
Yep agree, thought the sub was to let Coulibaly counter Garnachos pace as he’d just beaten Justin easily.
-
Good news folks, Monga has just finished his homework so his mum has said he can play out ‘til 10.00
-
I feel so much more assured about the defending with Okoli being mobile, capable of changing direction without having to apply for planning permission first and having the insurance of Wilf in front. Faes looks less frantic and haywire too, no doubt due to the extra insurance around him.

Soumare won it well, Bilal with the cross opened them right up then it got a bit scruffy but who cares!

A good point. You need a bigger squad to cope and they give you a bit of money that can go towards that but players won't sign a 1 year deal and there's no guarantee you'll have CL football for every year of their contract (extremely unlikely in our case). Then you have the agents who smell blood and come out offering ways of us parting with our new found relative wealth. In the old set up you could be out after 6 games, that's just six games, 3 opportunities for corporate stuff at the home matches, sponsorships, gate receipts etc yet you sign players on 3 or 4 year deals to help you cope with "that". That's why the likes of Spurs, Chelsea and Man Utd who are on the fringes of qualifying want it guaranteed year in year out with the super league etc. They aren't the ones who deserve sympathy, the likes of Villa and (cough) Forest who might make it one year but not the next have big decisions to make, all whilst staying within the domestic FFP.

Yes 12:30.

He should be snapped up

I think the Chelsea game was the last straw, set up to just keep the score down and not even have a go, it showed in the final minutes when subs came on and Mavididi ran at them that they weren't unbeatable at the back but even neutrals and broadcasters were shocked at how negative we had been. That day the players body language and heads went too, there was a 10-15 minute spell of wild challenges then verbals when substituted, gestures etc, arguing amongst themselves
-
No chance of that, staying at Arsenal and think he's injured at the moment

You mean that bit where despite being without our best winger for the season we just had our CB come in and say he wants to go and play with his old mates, we say yeah maybe but we might need you to play with us, he says he'll see if his old mates have a new mate who doesn't want to be mates anymore and could play with us instead, we see which mate that is and aren't too sure about him.........it's more like the Dog and Duck A Team on a Sunday morning than Professional Premier League.
