  1. We had them on the ropes before that beauty of a free-kick. Much less disappointed by yesterday than Leeds. International break gives us time to hopefully get Wilf and Yunus back, and Cannon some more time training. We have a relatively nice run of games coming up and I think we’ll soon hit our stride again. We were always likely to face a small blip at some stage.
  2. The future is Fatawu and Alves on the wings, I hope he gets a chance soon.
  3. Well that’s me making a lovely 12 hour round trip
  4. I hope the players don’t have the same mentality as some in this thread. There’s every chance we could go on a poor run and be caught. I don’t think it will happen, but to write off the possibility at this stage is at best naive.
  5. Just noticed KDH dragging Winks out of the fans after the goal on the highlights… smart boy KDH, potentially helping Harry avoid a yellow and suspension - like it!
  6. Don’t rest Winks and KDH. Hopefully we can be in a position to take them off after an hour, but points on the board are what matters, let’s win this game before worrying about Leeds.
  7. He is improving quite quickly.
  8. 2 questions: 1. If unsuccessful in the ballot, what chance this reaches all members? 2. Am I a mug for wanting to travel up from Devon for this?
  9. Perfect, thanks for the info mate. Fingers crossed I’m quick enough to grab a couple in the morning!
  10. Hermansen Choudhury Souttar Coady JJ Winks Casadei KDH Wanya Kel Akgün Then for Stoke: Hermansen Ricardo Faes Vestergaard JJ (is there another option, Nelson?) Winks Ndidi KDH Fatawu Vardy Mavididi So only Mads (GK so shouldn’t matter), JJ, Winks and KDH having to play 3 times in a week. It’s not ideal, but showcases where we slightly lack depth at the moment.
  11. Will this be on the red button being midweek?
  12. Shame for Kasey, but he’ll be back. Over to you, Wanya.
  13. Not as bad as it could’ve been. Hopefully he’s a quick healer.
  14. We thinking this makes it to members? Hoping to get a couple as it’s closer than a home game for me!
  15. Lazy tonight, which isn’t acceptable. A player can have a poor game, it’s fine, but you have to put a shift in as a minimum and I didn’t see that tonight.
  16. I think it’s admirable that we stuck to our philosophy and were brave on the ball. However, we have to be realistic and acknowledge that we are lucky that that ended 3-1. They are one of the most relentless teams in the world with regards to pressing and that was very evident tonight. Casadei was poor and Iheanscho was lazy, very disappointed with those two. Coady looked solid if a bit rusty, McAteer looked a threat and there were no injuries that we know of. Blackburn is infinitely more important and I think Enzo acknowledged that with his lineup tonight, let’s hope for a result at the weekend.
  17. Important to get as close to 90 mins as possible in for the likes of Coady, Akgün and Casadei - we’ll need the entire squad to maintain a good level of match sharpness throughout the season. I’d go: Stolarczyk Faes Coady JJ Hamza Winks Akgün Casadei Ndidi Fatawu Daka
  18. I highly doubt it really but I hope that’s a shot at Brendan
