  1. Do Newcastle or Spurs have anyone we could take as part of a deal for Maddison? Djed Spence could be an example.
  2. He’s the one I’ve been wanting. Quality manager, and would be the perfect appointment for me.
  3. Out of the players that are likely to stay, I would go with either Souttar or KDH. However I agree in that it’s likely to be somebody who comes in as most of the lot who are staying don’t have any real leadership qualities.
  4. Genuinely don’t believe we’re that far away from having a team that can compete very well at that level. The squad will need a fair few in to cope with the relentlessness of the league though. Iversen/Smithies Ricardo/New RB Souttar/New CB Faes/New CB Thomas/Kristansen New DM/Choudhury KDH/New CM New AM/New AM New winger/Albrighton New winger/new winger Daka/New ST 11 new players with the squad bulked out by the likes of Alves, Braybrooke, Maswanhise, Wanya etc.
  5. I would agree, but tell me who’s going to take him off us?
  6. Think the equation is relatively simple. Go down - Iversen stays as no 1. Ward no 2 unless we can shift him. Stay up - new keeper comes in, partially funded by selling Iversen with Ward as no 2.
  7. Probably just me but I reckon if I was a player for a team with nothing to play for themselves, I would relish playing a part in potentially deciding who gets relegated. I’d want to be part of the drama, potentially scoring the goal that sends a team down. Let’s hope Bournemouth’s players think like that too
  8. Will be an integral part of the team in the championship should we go down.
  9. There’s a chance. Early goal for us and the pressure is massively on Everton. Far, far stranger things have happened.
  10. Don’t want him next season whichever division we’re in. This mess isn’t his fault but he’s not a long-term solution.
  11. Upper championship standard I reckon. So much better than Ward!
  12. We’ll only know if that was a good result on Sunday. Pointless speculating now but we’ve given ourselves a better chance at least.
  13. Passion, the dark arts and a bit of luck needed here. One last chance lads.
  14. I think it depends actually. I wouldn’t say that I’d prefer the championship, in terms of the quality of football etc it’s clearly far inferior to the PL. However, there will be some fans (like myself) who are looking forward to being able to go to more games (aways mostly) due to there being less clamour for tickets in the championship. For the last few years it’s been near impossible to get hold of tickets for more than a couple a season (away games) as a member. I can’t wait to be able to visit new grounds and follow the club in a way that I haven’t really been able to due to supply/demand of tickets. I’m not naive enough to think I’ll be able to get a ticket for every away game, but I’m certain I’ll be able to get a few more than previous years. I’ll enjoy nothing more than the drive from Devon to Sunderland to watch the team. So in terms of my experience following Leicester, I think it could be argued that relegation will improve that as being at games is far superior to having to watch on TV. Clearly I understand that’s just my personal situation but hopefully it goes some way to explaining the psyche of some fans. Despite all that I would never want us to go down, I hope we do the improbable over the next couple of weeks.
  15. Hamza has my vote!
  16. Actually being able to got hold of away tickets for more than a couple of games a season! Can’t wait to get to some new grounds.
  17. Argyle - the first game within an hour of me for about 8 years!
  18. Appointing a progressive manager who sees us as a step up and is therefore more motivated will be the key. Michael Duff from Barnsley would be someone who fits that mould for me. Plays good football, is honest and easy to warm to, and is used to working on a budget relative to the teams he has managed in Cheltenham and Barnsley. We have to be realistic and acknowledge that no realistic names are going to be overly inspiring.
  19. I hate to say it, and I truly mean that, but I think Vardy has to go so that we can fully start a new chapter. What a legend the man is, but I think it’s time.
  20. No VAR next season!
  21. Don’t let Smith take the brunt for what Brendan has done to us. I don’t want him long term, but it’s not his fault.
  22. This has to be the team for me. Don’t think we’ll see Souttar or Mendy though. There’s a good chance he starts Ricardo and KDH I think however.
  23. Vardy to score 20 and help us to promotion to complete his cycle with us.
  24. Michael Duff would be my outside shout. Watched a lot of his Cheltenham side the last few years and, apart from a dodgy last few games, he has done well with Barnsley this year too. Good man manager and very honest. Would bring the fresh ideas that the club desperately needs.
