Don’t rest Winks and KDH. Hopefully we can be in a position to take them off after an hour, but points on the board are what matters, let’s win this game before worrying about Leeds.

It’s not ideal, but showcases where we slightly lack depth at the moment.

Lazy tonight, which isn’t acceptable. A player can have a poor game, it’s fine, but you have to put a shift in as a minimum and I didn’t see that tonight.

I think it’s admirable that we stuck to our philosophy and were brave on the ball. However, we have to be realistic and acknowledge that we are lucky that that ended 3-1. They are one of the most relentless teams in the world with regards to pressing and that was very evident tonight. Casadei was poor and Iheanscho was lazy, very disappointed with those two. Coady looked solid if a bit rusty, McAteer looked a threat and there were no injuries that we know of. Blackburn is infinitely more important and I think Enzo acknowledged that with his lineup tonight, let’s hope for a result at the weekend.

Important to get as close to 90 mins as possible in for the likes of Coady, Akgün and Casadei - we’ll need the entire squad to maintain a good level of match sharpness throughout the season. I’d go: Stolarczyk Faes Coady JJ Hamza Winks Akgün Casadei Ndidi Fatawu Daka

No need to panic. We didn’t deserve to lose. However, Casadei must start next time out over Wilf. I also thought McAteer looked a threat on the left - I’d start him and Fatawu against Southampton as I think that’d give us good balance.

Personally think Holly might have you all on absolute strings and I’m here for it

I was at the game tonight and he was the best player on the pitch first half, a real handful. Quieter at the start of the second half and was hooked as soon as Argyle went 2-0 up.

I wonder if it’d be best to get him out on loan if we get this lad from Sporting in. Him, Kasey, Akgun and Mavididi with Albrighton in reserve would be more than enough you’d think. Get Wanya playing regularly in league 1!

Fairly sure I remember reading it being £12m up front for VK, with a potential rise to £17m which I can’t imagine he’ll have hit much if any criteria for. Therefore a €1m loan and €10m purchase would equate to around £9.5m, so a £2.5m loss. Not ideal by any means, but not the end of the world.
