Need a minimum of 4 starters to come in in January, which will be a very tricky task. The worry for me is I look at our squad and who can you truly say is premier league quality? Hermansen, Winks, Vardy (just about which is testament to him), Fatawu (injured), Facundo (not ours). You could make arguments for Mavididi and potentially BEK too but it’s too early to tell. We need an entirely new defence, a new midfielder, a new striker and a winger to replace the loss of Abdul. We need to identify 3/4 of those 7 that are priority in January and hope we have enough - it’s a big ask.

RVN would be a big risk. Will of course back him if he comes in and it would be infinitely better than the Cooper appointment.

Quite liked him on the left actually. Could be an option to explore in a game where he’ll have more opportunity to get forward.

He’s still a couple of year younger than KDH was when he went out on loan - there is still time. Get him out to league 1, even top end of league 2 if necessary for 6 months and see how he goes from there. Has to be playing men’s football every week.

I’m sorry but that tonight is more on the players than it is on him. 3 goals from pure sloppiness on our part that were utterly avoidable. If that’s our “best team” I do worry. I know he’s not played much but Ricardo looked leggy from about 20 mins in, and Abdul had a poor game from the start. I don’t like Cooper, I didn’t want Cooper, but tonight he’s done exactly what the fans have been calling for and it has not worked - we need to own that and accept that perhaps what we see as obvious solutions aren’t all that in reality.

First away of the season for me, looking forward to it.

I got Stoke and Argyle last season, and Liverpool and Villa in the 19/20 season - nothing in between, but seems I’ve been fairly fortunate really.

Do we reckon this makes members? Quite a big allocation all things considered.
