I'm sell more than keep but is anyone actually going to be left -
I'm not entirely sure where people still get this faith from. Couple of weeks ago I'd have agreed but how we've typically done our business, even when we're tight, is wait to sell but then reinvest some of it. We know that as a club we can pick up decent talent for this league in the 5 - 7 bracket and be happy, we could have spent some of the money we made from clearing out the few so far. The fact we haven't, I really do think something is going on with our finances outside of the "norm" for us. I wouldn't be surprised at all if all we get is one, two at most, loans and I still wouldn't be surprised if it's actually nothing at all.

It's looking a lot like we urgently need money now, not later. -
I complain about Americanisation, in life as well as sport, more than most people but a "Rookie" award or graduate award would be better. Especially if it has to be a player developed by that club.

Eze is being sold to a big six club for almost 60m. Obviously they aren't going to sign a player on the same level? They're going to do the smart thing, go back to the start, sign another 20 year old on a lower fee, coach him up, let him go, probably sell him for 60+ one day too? That's... how it works? Who do you think they're going to sign? Musiala? Pedri? You buy a youngster, develop him, sell him, buy another youngster, develop him, sell him. That's how it works. If we hadn't forgotten that, we wouldn't be in the Championship. Somehow I think Palace, who have had raging success doing this over the last decade, know a little bit more than you do. -

I don't think @Pliskin is denying that BEK is on Palace's shortlist but they're clearly doing the same thing WHU did, they want him cheaper than our initial demand and they're shopping around for other players and trying to do several deals at once. We caved on Hermansen because we could, we signed him for 5-7 so it was easy for us to make a good chunk of profit. Given we paid 20 odd for Bilal, we actually need a pretty solid fee from Palace otherwise it just isn't worth it to us and there's a limit how much we can budge. It's definitely possible that Palace do end up backing off and going abroad for someone cheaper. -

Wrexham on a genuine drive to sign more Welsh players, which is nice to see tbf. Wouldn't surprise me at all.

I love how you've all started convincing yourself BEK is crap because he's obviously leaving He's an extremely talented footballer with a pretty high ceiling. He'll have a good top flight career. -

He's such a weird guy. -
Clearly you've never met the women down the front.

At the risk of getting pelters, I used to go to a lot of away games with my old man. He's supported Leicester all his life, been going to away games since even davieG was a youngun, but he just can't stand anymore. His health is shot, his legs and his balance are ****ed and it's hard work just making the trip anyway. But he still used to drag me from Southampton to Newcastle regardless. Any of you want to tell me he lost the right to watch his team play because he can't stand and sing for 90 minutes anymore? I get it, some of the old dears down the front do get a bit of an attitude problem about it but they've got as much right to their fandom as you do and christ they haven't half put the time in. I'm pretty sure a couple of the women that sit down the front every game, ever year, have been going since it was Fosse. There isn't an away end in the country that's so small that you can't leave the first few rows to older, younger or less mobile fans that want to go away but can't stand for 90 minutes. You can have a perfectly good away end without gatekeeping who should be there. Obviously if you're stood at the back and you're still being moaned at to sit down then whoever is giving you grief needs a reality check but come on, second row? Don't be a dick, either just sit down or do what loads do and just ditch your seat and go stand at the back with your mates anyway.

Think he'd be both expensive and a punt to be honest. One fairly decent season at AK isn't evidence of undeniable quality. Last time he was in this league he managed 3 goals in over twenty starts. Obviously he's a couple years older now but still. Given he'd easily cost north of 15m, I'd definitely say it'd be a bit of a punt.

He's a young kid, our song for him should be earnest advice, he needs guidance from us older souls. I'm suggesting a bit of Maiden: "Run to the hills, Run for your life"

Vicious cycle as well isn't it really. Players aren't immune to it. They see nobody coming in and they're going to feel anxious about it as well and be thinking about going. Couple of decent signings wouldn't have just inspired the fans, it'd have inspired the squad and given them some confidence. Most of them here now have only known an era at the club in which it's a clown car sliding from one financial regulatory problem to another. -
He's definitely more productive when he remembers his crossing is better than his shooting. He created an immense amount of quality chances last time he was in the Championship. He's a better creator than scorer, as much as its nice if/when he can add goals to his game.
-
He was marked out of the game by two good defenders doubling up on him because the rest of our team offers so little threat they can focus on our few decent players. There was a moment in the first half we tried to counter through Mavididi and by the time he'd even crossed the halfway line there were 3 of them surrounding him. They'd done their research. We have one or two players who are very dangerous at this level but when you shut them down, we've got **** all.
-
That's because Coady is a twerp. A few ****ing Roy Keanes in the dressing room would certainly help.

I'm sorry but I'm with Miles. Gamers on the internet have become obnoxiously, insanely entitled and impatient. Why the **** do you need coddling and constant updates, it's a computer game? It'll be out when it's out. As the kids say, "let them cook."

It's not under estimating him it's just being reasonable, boxing is a funny sport, we've seen this before with guys running through the lower order of the division and then hitting a wall. It's perfectly fair to suggest Itauma might still hit his before the top. A washed up Dillian Whyte, who was always over hyped af because of how shallow the division is, isn't really some big coming of age for him. The nature of the stoppage looks amazing on paper but I do think it says just as much about how awful shape Whyte is in. He'll get a Hrgovic or a Wardley or something next and that's about right. He's not done anywhere near enough to earn a shot at probably Parker let alone Usyk.
-
One quality centre mid and one quality striker probably better. The midfield needs work yeah but it'd still be pointless without anyone leading the line.
-
Poor kid doesn't deserve to be stuck here.

You're a bit weird aren't you
