I don't think Marti will either, but, whilst there's plenty to like about Okoli, not least his apparent commitment to the cause, it would be nice if he passed to his team mates more often. -

Tricky selection for Marti. It's easy for us as fans to want him to include the new players from the off and possibly bring back Faes and Winks, but he has to think about overall squad harmony and continuing to build the strong culture he's talked about. If he drops 4 or 5 of the starting line up who have just battled so hard for 2 consecutive wins, however ugly, it would surely go down very badly in the dressing room. For that reason, I think he'll name an unchanged starting XI. If he were to make a change, I think the most likely one is to bring in Carranza up top, with Ayew moved to the 10 in place of Page. -
Victor Kristiansen (an option for Forest, Percy.)

Surely they're going to be in massive PSR sh1t soon, given how they're throwing money around. -
Could be something in this - we love signing a man-child who throws his toys out of his pram to get his way.

The match against Derby was in the EFL Cup. Ramsey scored a 94th winner and got the highest rating on Sofascore.

Whilst not enabling us to get the kind of fee we wanted for BEK in any case. A total mess.

Fair play to Brentford rinsing Newcastle for £55m for a 29 year old with only 1 year left on his deal. Shows that a competent club can still get very good prices for players who have thrown their toys out of the pram. -

Some people saying we had no choice to get rid, whatever the deal, after he threw his toys out of the pram. And yet 2 seasons ago, Gnonto and Summerville did exactly the same thing, didn't get their moves and went on to be key players for Leeds, with Summerville getting the Championship player of the year award. Anyway, no point my moaning about this any more, it's done now. Just hope we can bring in the 3 or 4 decent players we need in the next 12 hours. Can't say I'm at all confident about that. -

Fernandes 2 goals, 4 assists BEK 2 goals, 3 assists That extra assist was worth well over £10m. -
Torino This will be the new Dennis Praet saga over the remaining 3 years of Woyo's contract!

Even if we are now in the clear with PSR then surely we should be getting the best deal possible and this feels far from that. -

More likely a further demonstration of the club's incompetence. -

Not sure it's a great deal when Southampton are getting £42m for Fernandes, who I don't think is any better. -

How did Southampton get 50% more for Fernandes? We've allegedly played hard ball and yet still ended up with a low fee and left ourselves 1 day to bring in a replacement. Classic Rudkin. -
The options currently available to the manager are generally awful but I still don't think his system is working at all from an attacking point of view. We seem to have 6 defensive outfield players who never go beyond the halfway line. The full backs never support the wingers and the 2 CMs sit 5 yards in front of the CBs. And to top it all off we have a striker who touches the ball more in his own half than the opposition's and a kid playing at 10 who looks out of his depth. It's a mess.

Relying on one moment of individual magic again. Literally no fluidity, patterns of play or creativity other than that. 1 touch in their box in 50 minutes of football.

The poor lad is clearly not ready to be starting in such a key position on the pitch, based on what we saw last week against a team who are likely to be battling against relegation.
-
That's a separate question. To be honest, virtually any combination of the current squad would be rank. But I'd certainly be playing Ricardo and Nelson. I would also play Daka up top with Ayew behind, though I realise that is also unpalatable to lots of fans.

Horrific starting XI again. Got away with it last week, hard to see us being so lucky again.

We've bailed out. Was planning to come up for the game but finished work much later than planned and Google maps was saying that what should be a journey of 1hr50 or 2 hours was predicted to take 3 hours. Will watch on TV instead. Horrifyingly, I'm expecting Marti to stay loyal to the same starting XI as last week, given we (somehow) won. Obviously really hope I'm wrong. -
Our track record of signing strikers from the Austrian league is exemplary....

Same as last time they were relegated.

Hopefully today is the last time we see Salisbury and Walker in Leicestershire shirts. More sadly, Wright’s race is also run. Green and Davey are good additions but it would have been good to see another left arm pacer brought in, as when Hull is not available (pretty often) our attack does look very samey. -
Agree he played well overall at Charlton but I still found that he was too casual in closing down opposing players, often allowing them time to shoot or cross under no pressure. This very approach led directly to the 2nd Huddersfield goal in the Cup match.
