I've been beavering away at my music project for six months or so now. Yesterday, a decent-sized US-based band reached out to ask me to do a remix of one of their songs. I'm being offered a decent rate for the job so hopefully I can get it over the line with their label. Since nobody really knows I make music, I just wanted to share the news. Absolutely buzzing TBH.

I'm a big Kojima enjoyer since PS1 MGS, but this bloke loves getting high on his own supply. Nothing's worse than MGS4 in terms of lenthy, intrusive cutscenes constantly, but it goes close. He just wanted to be a film director. It's a bit janky, super repetitive, kind of boring, makes NO sense, I don’t know what’s happening most of the time and nothing is really explained properly, the enemies are kind of shit and it's a literal inventory management nightmare. But I sort of get it... I do keep getting drawn back to it weirdly.

I’ll take a look at it, got a bunch of UA stuff but I’ve sworn off buying plugins for the time being. I’ve got a problem. Besides I so infrequently actually record guitars, Amplitube is more than enough. I’ve also got Waves GTR3 which I kind of prefer sometimes.

Death Stranding. It appeared on GamePass so I thought I'd give it a go... Always been kind of curious. WTF?

Haven't played in bands for a very long time. I have a side gig as a solo electronic music producer now. I've got a huge Marshall combo which is basically a studio ornament. I genuinely can't remember the last time I turned it on. Since I never play live, Amplitube is all I need - every amp and pedal combination ever created in my DAW. It's great but I do miss the physicality of amps occasionally... My partner doesn't, mind.
