(Trying to rationalise here) I’ve considered an Epiphone but I already own one, and feel like I want an upgrade - problem is I don’t really want to spend Gibson money. Epiphones used to be considered budget, but I saw the new Joe Bonamassa signature SG for £1,500 recently. Even my G-400 custom which I bought new for less than £300 IIRC from Academy Of Sound 20 years ago is now £600+ second hand. Guitar prices are wild.
