  1. We need someone like Nigel Pearson to come in and weed out all the bad apples like he did after Svens reign. Lot harder to do with this team however due to the hideous contracts they are sat on. This team certainly ranks with 01/02 and I presume the team of 77/78.
  2. Think the start was so incredibly poor and ridiculous the fans pretty gave up on the team and focused on all the chants of self deprecation and all the old songs from players past. It was not an angry crowd yesterday ( when it’s angry there is normally at least one fight amongst the fans) but just acceptance this team is horrible and not worthy of any support.
  3. Perhaps it’s dawning on people that rock bottom was not May 2023 but some yet unknown date in the near future. We have players on obscene wages who are championship at best. The clubs desperately needs new leadership to get a grip of the culture , seagrave , fan engagement, a new level of professionalism catching up with best practices in the modern game. There is no fun in following this football club, just morbid fascination of what will go wrong next. Bar quite a few games last season it’s been pretty grim since 21/22 season. I went yesterday, we are just a terrible football team AND club at the moment. Not sure where the slide ends.
  4. whether he walks or not he is the symptom not the cause of this current shit show
  5. On the coach , fed up, we are just a very poor football team that is the result of a very poorly run football club
  6. Now go for it.
  7. The way Spurs are playing we simply must win this game if we to have any lingering hopes of staying up.
  8. part of me wants the whole thing to implode but that would mean some pretty poor football to watch for the next few years. We need some end game to sort out this malaise though
  9. Imagine if we actually signed some players to give us half a chance
  10. Despite being fed up earlier , Ipswich getting hammered today, Chelsea might do Wolves as well and all of a sudden it’s like ‘well if we can just beat Spurs we can do Everton as well’ Always the hope that kills you!
  11. Nice of the commentators to stay silent when Man City fans were singing ‘you’re going down with United’
  12. It’s feels wrong to say this but will anyone else feel relieved when we are 10 points adrift just so we can relieve any hope we may have had. I even hope Ipswich win today, sooner it’s over the better. I would say the club can then plan for next season early but we are rudderless
  13. This malaise is now into at least its 4th year, last season was just a dead cat bounce. Without new leadership at the top we are going to enter another period of mediocrity unfortunately. There is no accountability, no tough operator making sure we are not an easy touch. If Top still wants to run the club he needs a new management structure but everything he does suggest he is just out of his depth and that simply won’t happen. It’s sad because he did ultimately lose his dad in such tragic circumstances. Silence is still likely to be their preferred method of communication but they are going to be in for shock when a few thousand finally decide that’s enough LCFC in their lives and dont renew. We have had worse eras and we have all seen enough relegations to know things can change quickly but this feels like we could be in for a few mediocre seasons.
  14. If Forest winning the league guaranteed us staying up would you take it ?
  15. If they beat Liverpool they are in the title race, winning it is another matter. I’d rather focus on our troubles but the away day at Forest could be either horrendous or hilarious.
  16. Doesn’t matter if Ipswich are better than us or not , we were ‘better’ than more than 3 teams in 22/23 but it meant bugger all in the end. Out of the 2 of us Ipswich just have that feeling about them that they’ll just survive wheras we look like we are just plodding to relegation without no real plan to stop it. Unless we have an exceptional transfer window I can’t see how we survive.
  17. If Rudkin and Whelan did not offer their resignation after relegation in 2023 they should have been fired or moved to a different part of King Power. People talk about showing respect to Top and his family. The most disrespect has come from those 2 by not falling on their swords.
  18. Get a couple of decent signings defensively, we must be looking to win 3 out of the next 5 games. Those 2 home games against Palace and Fulham now fall under must win. Villa are no great shakes this season , Spurs , who knows and Everton is always a draw!
  19. Villa have been a bit hit or miss , need to go there looking for a win rather than sit back. At some point we need to win a game to give us any hope.Beat Villa , get a couple of signings in before the 2 home games and we might have some sort of lift off.
  20. We can longer afford to treat games as a free hit, at some point we will have to win a couple of games we wouldn’t have thought we’d get anything from. Without a surprise result here and there I think we’ll struggle to get what we need.
  21. It was shocking to see how badly both ourselves and Wolves have regressed if you compare the team and performances from say around 5 years ago. Obviously we are in a worse state than Wolves but unless something changes in the way Wolves owners act they will be circling the drain each season till they finally drop. Only Everton appear to be immune from continuing to avoid the drop.
  22. It would allow Coady to focus on his media career! Id take them both as I can’t see our scouting team producing any unknown gems. Chilwell with something to prove and it if went wrong we could always remind him of Wembley 2021! Maguire would be useful , not particularly mobile but an upgrade. In reality i’ll be surprised if either of them rock up at our place.
  23. And no surprise both seasons ended in relegation
  24. Given the amount of fixtures Liverpool will prob start a weakened team and leave their key players on the bench just in case.
