  1. It'll give folk an extra 15 mins to express alarm at the starting 11. In fact, to save people typing often used comments, just copy and paste these useful phrases below. WTF. FFS. Marti out. Soumare, Skipp really! Where's the yoof? Look at that bench. Faes, Vesty really! Is Top there? I see the Happy Clappers are out in force. Vardy not even on the bench. Is he injured? And, if we go a goal up and/or win HMS Piss the league.
  2. Are you their publicity agent? Looks like a few on here are now interested after your post.
  3. I see your point but I also feel you are showing respect by being competitive throughout. If we should be winning and winning well however, I don't think we should hear any Olay, Olays from the crowd. That would be out of order. Anyway, this is all academic, Sheff W will be up for it and do their fans proud I reckon.
  4. Today is the 8th and Skynet becomes self aware on the 29th - not long now.
  5. Indeed. Our first house, bought in 1980, would now cost £56 000 if average inflation over the intervening years was the only price pressure. Instead, they are now selling at over £200 000
  6. Could solve a lot of problems. As an aside however, re the text I've highlighted: If you substituted the word elderly for immigrants, blacks, Asians, refugees, gypsies, women and so on - even in jest, the s4it would really hit the fan. For some reason, older folk are fair game.
  7. Sir Geoff Hurst was asked how he thought the England team of '66 would have fared against the Lionesses. "I think we'd have won 1-0" he replied. "Only 1-0?" questioned the reporter. "Yes," said Geoff. "There's only me left now and I'm 83."
  8. Interesting. 4 hours since your post and no one has asked for any context. Speaks volumes.
  9. So many seem to think this thread is doomed, imminently. Can't see why myself, unless someone mouths-off of course.
  10. Not much of an explosion when it fails to lift off. Had they actually put any more fuel in it?
  11. Bins on pavements are unsightly and an undoubted obstacle, especially on narrow pavements. However I, and I'm sure others too, have not had their bin emptied because it was not correctly 'placed' out on the street. My elderly Father in Law's was quite literally a couple of feet back from the pavement and was not emptied. PS. Not everyone have driveways btw.
  12. It won't let me watch it. Apparently, it's that sexy, I need to verify my age.
  13. I have never needed to turn away or look away from the news before, even if they warn you of distressing content. Tonight though, I couldn't bare it. Children shot dead by the IDF in Gaza. Just too upsetting. What the bloody hell are they thinking?
  14. No, no, no! Soumare. An out of possession principle is NOT to walk slowly back to your position.
  15. We've missed an opportunity there. We should have offered; Buy one, Get one free.
  16. Where's your location when you try the retune? It could be you are in a poor reception area when you carry it out. A radio of mine would skip a couple of stations on auto retune, though I could get those stations if manually tuning. That was on FM. I don't think that should be quite the same with DAB, in fact, it could be the opposite. My DAB radio will save stations on an auto retune but won't actually play them because the signal is too weak!
  17. It's seems to be the news channel of choice for my brother but not for me, at all. Not necessarily because of any political leaning it may have but that it seems a bit 'tabloidy' to me in presentation.
  18. Elizabeth Rizzini. BBC weather girl. Everytime she does the forecast, I realise I haven't listened to a single word she has said.
  19. I wonder if she does that weird run-up before leaping into bed?
  20. Keep getting YouTube notifications for this young lad. There's even videos of him aged just six playing like a seasoned pro. Not only plays well, but with feeling.
  21. Back in the day, my Mums latest Grattans catalogue had arrived and I headed straight to the lingerie section. Imagine my delight when one model was wearing a see through bra. Quite tame compared to what is available today.....................so I'm led to believe .
  22. Saffron Hill cemetery being absolutely rammed with Asian families, presumably visiting their dear departed resting place, or indeed for a funeral itself. Not a great deal you can say or do about that, but when they are parking and blocking access and exits in the cemetery and even parking on the grass beside graves, it isn't on. Total lack of respect for others. Then, to make matters worse, when someone we know was trying to visit a grave, a young Asian man - not an official - asked her to come back next week. Understanding and empathy needs to work both ways.
  23. What I also found absolutely repulsive in the same report, was the 'Viewing area' for Israelis to watch the bombardment of Gaza. Telescopes, binoculars etc installed for you to get a better view and they've even installed vending machines for your added comfort, whilst you watch the atrocities unfold.
