  1. I thought they had a rocket propulsion system.
  2. In local news: what has the council got against the western side of the city? They've closed the golf course and now Western Park is the only one not to have some major work carried out on its tennis courts. Story here.
  3. Strewth! I went absolutely potty too but that guy edged my celebration. All I can add is when Chelsea 'equalised', I stormed into our kitchen cursing, stamping my feet, thumping the worktop and angrily saying, quite loudly, that we'll never win the bloody thing. During my inconsolable despair, Mrs. FFF voice somehow filtered through, 'VAR are looking at it'. We know the rest....
  4. Nevermind refusing to give a sample, Hamza is refusing to give a shit in this game
  5. My mam and dad moved into one of those prefabs in the photograph when they were married in 1947, they remained there for 7 years. Another 'mod con' the prefabs had, was a fridge in the kitchen - luxury.
  6. Explaining myself/giving reasons. For example, if I can't make it to something previous agreed like meeting up in a pub, I let the others know and why. Friends/colleagues on the other hand, will just text that they can't make tomorrow evening, and that's it. I really annoy myself by doing this.
  7. Come to think of it; the insurance man. I also recall the rent man and the fella who emptied the electricy meter. Those last two were often walking around the estate collecting and must have been carrying a small fortune about their person
  8. S7 here and still quite happy, though I think the battery is just beginning to show signs of failing.
  9. Don't. That reminds me of a previous manager.
  10. There was some classic Public Information Films too. Alas, Reginald Molehusband didnt survive but this classic is still available.
  11. Loved the Hamlet ads, but for some reason this one was only shown in cinema's.
  12. I think the police ought to visit this property.
  13. Dreadful, isnt it.
  14. This made me laugh and I immediately remembered some years ago, a mate walking up to me and placing his finger under my nose. 'Guess what I've been doing.' he said.
  15. This might make you feel better: The strong sunshine fell across a door in our hall the other day and I noticed the paint looked dull. I then realised I had sanded it down prior to painting it 8 years or more ago. I somehow missed it when I last decorated there.
  16. Paper boy/girls.
  17. Don't goalies ever ware caps these days?
  18. Indeed. Also, it would appear the 'changes' were always to the detriment of the post master/mistress.
  19. I know where you're coming from but it's way off the mark. It really isn't the councils responsibility to clear up, its individuals responsibilty not to drop litter in the first place. I have challenged those that drop litter many times but the respose is nearly always: "What's it got to do with you?" 'Fcuk off' or the classic, 'It gives someone a job' (to clear up) With the latter in mind, err no. A vast majority of litter is collected by volunteers. I've also had, 'All the bins are full' Well, take it home with you. Its a part of our make-up I'm afraid. I've noticed abroad that there is far less litter in places like Paris for example, yet there are far fewer litter bins. I watched in amazement the other day when a guy pulled up outside a house and the kids in the car threw their MacDonalds containers, boxes and wrappers on the floor, they all then went into the house. They lived there! What chance is there for the environment generally, when folk do it on their own doorsteps?
  20. I'm trying to make out what's been cropped in the top right of the picture.
