  1. Belfast is a very walkable City. Not sure if this is in keeping with a traditional Stag do but if you get the time take a wander up the Crumlin Road & take in Crumlin Road Jail which has a truly horrific history. From there its a short walk to Shankhill Road, the loyalist area where the many murals are works of art. Down to the "Peace Wall" & around to the Falls Road where the scenes of Shankhill Road are repeated but in a Republican sense. Hard to believe the gruesome history of these areas but everywhere is safe enough now. A visit to one of Belfast's football grounds is also a must, Linfield at Windsor Park or one the the nostalgic ramshackle grounds of Glentoran, Crusaders or Cliftonville. Add to that Belfast has dozens of decent pubs, the Crown Liquor Saloon being the most ornate & a throw back the the past. Obviously the Titanic is the most touristy attraction in the City but there's only so much you can cram in on a stag weekend.
  2. I have a wooden Leicester City rattle, looks home made, which at a guess must be over 50 years old. I believe many fans made their own in the post war years for big games, so I'm guessing this one could be for the 1949 FA cup final. MUCH louder than the cardboard clappers.
  3. Nothing whatsoever to do with being white or British The price of a pint has had an effect The main reason is that younger people in general are moving away from socialising with other human beings. This is obviously not the case with all, but the stay at home society, especially the young are growing all the time.
  4. This came so close to happening but Levante offered more money. Levante!!!!!!! FFS
  5. And in slightly less salubrious surroundings from the above, I'm off to see Morecambe v Walsall then Lancaster City v Macclesfield on the 22nd Feb. Different set of clothes required for this trip.
  6. Went to the Mestella in 2007 as I understood it was going to be demolished soon. 18 years later it's still in use though I believe work is starting again on the New Mestella this year, planned opening 2027. Valencia is a brilliant city to visit with plenty to keep you interested & plenty of places to visit & unlike most of coastal Spain it is not too touristy & the best place in the world for paella. Will go the the new stadium when open but for anyone who has never been to Valencia, try to tick off the old stadium before it gets demolished as it is an iconic, though slightly crumbling structure.
  7. I heard the "big debate" on the radio while driving to work yesterday. Alan Brazil said that in the "Bigger Picture" that most Man Utd fans were more concerned with the lack of progress with the men's team, rather than being too bothered about the ladies team. Which is true. Being called out as a dinosaur by Shebahn Aherne who is entitled to her view, personally, I believe she was trying to get "one up" for the girls. Just the way I see it.
  8. If only we signed Johan Cruyff, LCFC 1980's history would have been fun.
  9. Anyone who likes to go to places before they become too commercialised & full of tourists get yerself over to the Gaza strip before it becomes the Vegas of the middle East.
  10. More news True or fake? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cwy9enw2xw1o
  11. Lucy Letby Makes you wonder https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvgl5yyg1x6o
  12. Brian Murphy, starred as George Roper in 70's classics Man about the house & George & Mildred Great actor, RIP Brian.
  13. You can get Cruzcampo in both Stoke-on Tent & Seville & after several of those it doesn't matter where you are
  14. Reading the replies to this thread it becomes clear that most posters are basically saying 'Modern life is rubbish' It's not just Leicester City fans who are nostalgic about their previous home. Ask any fan of West Ham, Derby, Sunderland, Coventry etc. etc. they will all say the same. Mass commercialisation & sanitisation has ripped the soul out of the 'Matchday experience' But we all still go, cause we love it, the clubs know this & exploit.
  15. Casedei left Chelsea for Torino. A move that should work out well for him but how can I be sure he's not a daydreamer?
  16. After today's show this could well make members!
  17. Just over a year ago after a few bevvy's I posted this, post 1 on this thread. Hitch-hikers White Dog Poo Leicester City Full Backs I thought I might get a few, maybe several replies Thanks to all for 1,000 + posts, shows how big Nostalgia is
  18. I paid £25 to pass on my card to family/friends when I am unable to make the match. Good news though that you save a valuable 2-3 seconds by not having to get your plastic card out.
  19. National Express to Victoria. £11.80 return + £2.00 booking fee! If you don't mind spending 6 hours of your day on a bus
  20. Swift one in the Hind, down Waterloo way to the counting house for another, then the local hero, a quick one in the leccy cricket club, finishing off at the symphony rooms. About 3 hours.
  21. Justin & fighting in the same sentence!
  22. If you mean a hundred or so chanting "sack the board" is extremely unlikely to happen. Makes me chuckle though. They won't sack themselves.
  23. Returning to the atmosphere at our place. AC Milan ultras, unhappy with the powers that be regarding the running of their club, today remained totally silent throughout their game with Parma. For those that are unaware, the whole of the Curva Sud total silence for 90 minutes is something that NEVER happens. Remains to be seen if they get the outcome required but got me thinking we could do something similar, let's face it, we are halfway there already. Any thoughts?
  24. Without doubt, the most vitriolic forum.
