Does anyone know if a referee has to take a striker’s ability into account before sending a player off for denying a goal scoring opportunity? I don’t think any chance for Daka would be easy enough to warrant a red card.

A player like Daka, who is ineffective in every department, just becomes anonymous. Confidence is important to a striker, Akinbiyi never played in a side doing well, Daka has.
