  1. I remember Sunderland at home on the first day of the title winning season.
  2. Positives: - Rodgers has gone - We have a new and balanced management team in place who look like they care - Iversen is playing much better than Ward did - Soyuncu is back in the side - The second half against Man City was good, we created chances and didn't get thrashed there like other teams have been this season - We are only two points adrift and our goal difference is better than the teams around us - We have games against Wolves Leeds, Everton and West Ham in our run in. Three of these games are at home. - We are also playing Fulham, who have lost their last six matches
  3. He's a trier and he scored that beautiful goal against Spurs, but sadly the stats support Dan's view. He rarely gets in good positions to receive the ball, rarely does anything much when he gets it (hence the high pass completion rate), and rarely tackles although he does block a lot. He's good to bring on in the second half when we need someone to not do anything daft and see out a game when we're 2-0 up, but that hasn't happened for a while.
  4. Replacing Rodgers has been a shambles, like everything else from the club this season, but now we have new people in place, let's get behind them.
  5. I'll be renewing, but I completely understand the fans who have had enough.
  6. It's not that easy. We've spent five years trying to find a decent right winger without success.
  7. That's 1% analysis and 99% reading numbers from the prem table. We all know we're not bad at scoring and not good at defending. What data and insight have you got that explains why, and what the club should do about it?
  8. I can't face thinking about this while we still have a chance of staying up.
  9. You can either mail the ticket to yourself and forward to your friend, or add your friend to your 'friends and family' and select their email address when you buy the ticket. You're not breaking any rules as the club knows who is going to be in the seat.
  10. I guess this is about pushing people to buy memberships. But who's going to buy one if they haven't already with only a few games of the season to go?
  11. Wouldn't take Einstein to introduce pre-ordering for half-time food and drink.
  12. I'd be happy with any temporary manager who would: - give Iversen a go - stop playing a high line with slow defenders - permanently drop Soumare - get the team to show a bit of fight and be less fearful about attacking - have at least some clue about substitutions - not make pathetic excuses and blame others when we lose
  13. Do many Championship teams charge more that £30 away? Seems a lot for the quality.
  14. Anyone know how many tickets got held back for checking?
  15. I think he's found his level as a decent Championship player. Good luck to him.
  16. You sure about that? It used to be in the ST terms and conditions but I can't see it in the latest version.
  17. Second name on the team sheet for me already. Future captain material if we can hold onto him.
  18. Outplayed, outthought and outfought by a lower league team at home. Doesn't come as a surprise sadly.
  19. Let's call time wasting by its proper name - cheating. It's spoiling the game. Have an independent timekeeper and stop the clock every time there's an injury or substitution. All teams do it a bit, but Arsenal yesterday were the worst I can remember for a long time. .
  20. Needs a decent loan spell and regular game time to build experience, confidence and strength.
  21. Decent completion for the starting 11 is always good .
