  1. Cheap hack tip, buy a pair of cheap lightly coloured trackie pants or shorts, apply an iron on Leicester City FC badge once applied, wear said pantaloons/shorts whilst watching 90 minutes of Alex McCarthy, Luke Thomas and Harry Souttar playing prime Russell Ball and hey presto you too can have a homemade LCFC brown training tracksuit pants/ training shorts for a fraction of the cost …..tune in next week for money saving tips
  2. I think we should use the £40l to pay Wout Faes’s wages for a fortnight, what a great way for us to show a true fan favourite our appreciation for his commitment and dedication to the club what a servant 😂
  3. ⏳ Two weeks today… and we go again! 💙🏃‍♂️ In a fortnight it’ll be Day 1, Run 1 of Prostate United 2026 — and the start of my fourth and final October of running every single day. At this point, I should probably know better… although I suspect my legs will be reminding me of that by about Day 10! 😂 Behind the running and fundraising, though, is a much more important reason for doing this. Men’s health matters. Too many men still put off getting checked, ignore changes in their body or simply don’t talk about their health. Prostate United helps get those conversations started while raising vital funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK. If seeing an increasingly tired 52-year-old dragging himself out for another run encourages just one bloke to have a conversation, recognise something isn’t right or get himself checked, then every mile is worth it. This is my final year, so I want to enjoy it, make it count and hopefully finish four brilliant years of support on a real high. 💙 The link to my JustGiving page is below. If you’re able to make a donation, no matter how big or small, it would mean a huge amount. https://prostateunited.prostatecanceruk.org/fundraising/steve-aquilina-prostate-united-2026?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=dssb-CL&utm_content=MPC&utm_ref=UBS&utm_medium=FR&utm_source=dssb-EM&utm_content=MPC And even if you can’t donate, you can still really help. Please like, share or repost this and help me spread the word. The further we can get the message out there, the more awareness we can raise, the more conversations we can start and, hopefully, the more support we can generate for this amazing cause. Two weeks to go. The running shoes are ready. I’m not entirely sure the legs are… 😂💙 Bring on October. 🏃‍♂️ #ProstateUnited #ProstateCancerUK #MensHealth #TeamLeicesterCity #LCFC #OneFinalPush
  4. IIRC didn’t the original preferred bidders at Sheff Wed pump money in during the due diligence process to keep the club going only for the sale to fall through, it does make me wonder if KP have had to pump the money in to keep the club solvent whilst the process moves to the next stage. After seeing what happened at Wednesday i very much doubt any preferred bidder in our process will make that same mistake.
  5. It does make me smile a little when people say as if the club would budget for best case scenario…… remember when we budgeted for European football and got relegated, we have form for this
  6. If we can move on Bobby Reid then would like to see us bring in Luca Thomas from AFC Fylde. 22 years of age and can play either wing and striker. 22 goals last season and 6 in 6 already this season.
  7. But that was well before the window closed and at that point I expect we were still bullish about selling the likes of Coulibaly, Faes, Nelson (until his injury), Okoli and Souttar. Whilst the fees may have funded removing debt, liabilities and signing replacements, I am not sure any projections at that stage would have forecast us carrying a further £125k or over £500k per month in wages, bonuses and NI etc for these players. Up to Christmas that is at least a further £2m in cash that the club has to find and pay out to keep the wolf from the door. It is cash flow or a severe lack of it that will take us into administration. Reduced income, increased costs are issies that even the best cash flow projections miss, any unforeseen event or circumstance will impact and if things are tight and built on sunny day, blue sky forecasts then it is all going to unravel pretty quickly when the clouds appear and £125k per week is a very big dark cloud.
  8. I do wonder what impact the non sale of the likes of Souttar, Faes, Okoli and Nelson. I imagine in our summer cash flow projections and budgets we anticipated all 4 would be sold and their large wages off the books, to me that is a sizeable hole in our forecast and a hefty wedge in wages we need to find each week/month.
  9. Another cracking pod as always. Really sad to hear the news Jake is leaving, he has been a brilliant presenter. Good luck with your new venture hope all goes well. I have no doubt that Jord, Ric and Godders will carry on the great work and the pod will continue to go from strength to strength.
  10. Don’t think PNE can afford Corberan plus I think he will be more ambitious than that
  11. Can Brighton get one more goal to make it 6 and nice and easy for the Cov fans to count the scoreline on all fingers of one hand
  12. McCarthy JJ Kanga O’Hora McFarlane Lundstrum Page Braybrooke Cullen Alves Riis subs Ravazoli Aluko Souttar Chaplin (if fit) Howell Watson Bristic
  13. The problem is whether the owners are happy to haggle and agree a compromise reduced sale. We saw with Chansiri at Sheffield Wednesday what can happen when an owner is too stubborn to negotiate a reduced valuation, the end result was administration. I wouldn’t be shocked in the slightest if KP dug their heals in and refused to budge from the valuation they are willing to walk away from, there is a reason interested parties are struggling to acquire the full picture in relation to the debt and future liabilities, likelihood is once you have the full picture it makes the valuation incomprehensible.
  14. I never wanted Martin to be appointed, more so because I wanted to see the club move away from the obsession with that style, however once appointed all I wanted was for him to be successful and prove the doubters wrong. During the summer o actually really warmed to him and liked what I saw and was reading in terms of the culture reset and raised standards. However since the season has started, there have been a fair few red flags which are caused for concern, especially our defensive fragility. However I also have some sympathy towards him, as I feel he has been massively let down by the people who hired him. In his interviews he continually refers to being excited by the project and working with the exciting young players coming through. He clearly believed this was a long term project, which is what he needed after the disaster of Rangers, an opportunity to lay down his philosophy at a club that believe in it and that would give him the time and tools to make his philosophy work. Fast forward 3 months, the club is up for sale, at no point was Martin ever told this would happen at the time of his appointment and as reported by Tom Collomose he still is yet to be fully appraised of the situation, I actually feel for him, he is currently bearing the brunt of supporter frustration at the brand of football, one which he was specifically recruited to implement and he is taking this criticism at a club that effectively once in a preferred buyer position could sack him as his face doesn’t fit the potential new ownerships blue print. He has been thrown under the bus, sold a dream and project that in reality had he known the full picture and truth probably wouldn’t have touched it with a barge pole. Yes when the inevitable happens he will be paid off handsomely but in an environment where it can pretty much end someone’s career I do have some sympathy. Perhaps the chants about the football should be directed elsewhere than at Martin, whose appointment is another in this fascination and obsession of playing in a certain style.
  15. Interesting reaction at the end, came over with the players and gave a couple of claps and then looked like he went straight down the tunnel. Feels like he knows he has lost what connection he had with the fans and I am not sure it’s going to be repaired. Even in victory the cracks are there for all to see.
  16. We desperately needed the 3 points, honestly thought we would get turned over but to be 4-1 and very nearly throw it away has really taken the gloss off it. it’s really concerning how fragile we look defensively conceding big chances and goals in abundance at the moment. I would actually say we look shambolic in the 3rd tier. And given the players at our disposal that is absolutely criminal. Hollow victory and too be honest leaves more questions than answers.
  17. 7 conceded in 2 games against Oxford at home and away to Stockport is really really concerning, at 4-1 up surely you go more solid and look to hit on the counter. Get Watson and Howell on out wide and use their threat to kill the game off, instead we absolutely shut the bed and very nearly through it away.

  19. I understand what you are saying but he also has to help himself and make little tactical tweaks to stop the mistakes being made and to hopefully make us more solid. Why persist with his defenders and the goalkeeper passing the ball between them like it’s an unexplored bomb literally 5 yards from our goal, it has led to numerous chances for the opposition and yet we persist even though the players are so uncomfortable and incapable of doing it.
  20. Massive game for the manager and for the club today, you kind of feel today will be pivotal to our season, a win and it could be the springboard to kick on, but another defeat and turgid performance and you feel things will get very ugly and toxic very quickly.
  21. Really concerning defensive interview, nothing about Leicester City and needing to win games of football for the club or fans or the predicament we find ourselves in, just about trying to protect brand Russell Martin and his devotion to his ‘concept’ / ‘game model’. The truth is in any other walk of life if you were this wedded to a way of operating and it continued to deliver terrible results you would be out the door and not touched by any other business in the industry as you are too rigid and lack the ability to try new and innovative ways to improve performance.
  22. Hmmmmm you can actually see it happening come the September deadline it is leaked numerous ‘unsavoury’ characters and consortiums with not the best interests of the club at heart came forward and we couldn’t allow the club to be handed over to ‘parasites’ instead we will stay to recover the legacy of Vichai …… I could see and hear the KPFC lot lapping it up and fans who had recently been swayed towards new ownership returning to tie the line under the guise of be careful what you wish for etc etc. The KP outers lose the initiative and the uprising is snuffed out, and no doubt many will just self exile and the club will be pleased to have lost the dissenters.
  23. Brilliant pod yet again, you always have a great knack of capturing the mood of so many. Lots of great discussion delivered with a fair amount of humour but also pashun 😊 Godders has been a brilliant and seamless addition to the team 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Dom Wells was a top class guest love his tactical insight
  24. The 80s called… they want their shorts back. 😂🏃‍♂️ Sadly, the hair isn’t real. The challenge very much is. This October I’ll be pulling on the running shoes for my fourth consecutive #ProstateUnited challenge, representing Team Leicester City Football Club and running every single day throughout the month to raise money and awareness in the fight against prostate cancer. 💙🦊 After three years, plenty of kilometres and more questionable running photos than I care to remember, we’ve raised over £13,000 for Prostate Cancer UK This year is my fourth and final challenge, and I’ve set myself one last big target: To take the overall total beyond £20,000. That means I need your help. If this photo has made you laugh, cringe, question my fashion choices or simply wonder how anyone ever ran in shorts that small… please consider making a donation. 😂 Every £5, £10 or £20 genuinely adds up. And if you can’t donate, a like, comment or share costs nothing and could help this reach someone who can. Behind the dodgy mullet and frighteningly short shorts is a serious message: raising awareness, encouraging men to talk about their health and helping fund the fight against prostate cancer. One final October. One final push. Let’s see if we can smash £20,000 together. 💙 Thank you as always for the incredible support. The link to my just giving page is below if you wish to donate, please share to help raise awareness https://prostateunited.prostatecanceruk.org/fundraising/steve-aquilina-prostate-united-2026?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=dssb-CL&utm_content=MPC&utm_ref=UBS&utm_medium=FR&utm_source=dssb-EM&utm_content=MPC
