  1. Yes Ndidi's fall was late and dramatic, but he definitely got kicked in the ankle by McCarthy before he fell. If contact is made surely it can't be a yellow.
  2. Only City can go from the sublime to the ridiculous in a matter of days. Put in our best and worst performances back to back.
  3. Explains his moronic rantings. After the Newcastle game he was asked which major club Mahrez could go to and he said Everton.
  4. Just shows if you play against shit clubs in the cup, you score goals.
  5. Really surprised with the hate that King's name on the teamsheet brings. Hes started in our best PL peformances of the last 2 seasons, Man City & Southampton, scoring in both. Yet some think we're too good for him.
  6. Yeah i know, hopefully we can get around 20M.
  7. Only if the price is right.
  8. Seriously who can we omit out of our current team for Silva, N'didi? Ibora? Or Shinji if we play a 3 man midfield. He may have to come off the bench, the way the team is playing.
  9. Considering this is the 1st game king has played under Puel, i think this performance will do a world of good for him. Also shows Puel that king can do a good job for the team and hopefully now he'll get more game time.
  10. 11 shots on target. Have we put a more dominant performance since we got back in the PL?
  11. Completely agree. Puel has shown a clear idea of how he wants to play and what he expects from the players. If they can't adapt and he gets rid, I'll trust his judgement. Saying that i would be surprised if Nacho is dispensed with, with zero gameplan.
  12. A real shame Mahrez probably won't be here next season because Puel has devised a system where he can't be man marked easily like he was last season. Against Newcastle there were times when Albrighton was on the RW, Grey on the LW and Mahrez through the middle and at other times Mahrez was on the RW, Albrighton on the LW and Grey through the middle. That's the unpredictability and fluidity we've needed for some time.
  13. He gets plenty of criticism on here, but i absolutely love Benny. Hope those Inter rumours are true and he goes from playing with our U23s to winning the Serie A with Inter.
  14. With all the possession that Liverpool have had, they've had next to no clear goal scoring chances. Even Salah's goal was individual brillance.
  15. You can add Coutinho to that list.
  16. Its a step up from the last 18 months, but the best football I've seen us play was in the 1st 6 months of Claudio's reign. We really were breathtaking in some of those games, regardless of possession stats.

    Simpson

If and when Mahrez leaves we'll need a RB that can offer something going forward. Sadly that will be the end of Simpson. As great a defender as he is, he's an absolute liability going forward.
  18. The only decent game the Ox has had all season was against us. His attempts at crossing are like Simpsons.
  19. Puel basically said that he needed somebody with the energy and tenacity of Shinji to go and make a nuisance of himself. He spoke to King and explained that he felt Hamza was more suited to this role then him. Surprisingly Puel didn't even consider Amartey in that kind of CDM role, therefore i think he will be played purely as a RB by Puel.
  20. Apparently could be off in January. Just imagine if he goes to Spurs. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/5062335/leicester-transfer-news-riyad-mahrez-arsenal-tottenham/
  21. 2-0 Man City win without getting out of 1st gear.
  22. Charlie Austin telling the Bournemouth fans to calm down. Thats Vardy like piss taking.
  23. Looked like a real good signing and may still turn out great for us. The one issue i have is that you'd expect a 25M international player to have a good touch and game awareness, if nothing else. Unfortunately not seen much of this with Nacho.
  24. He'll be 30 next year, so as much as we don't want to sell him to a fellow PL team, i think we'll have to if we want to recoup some of our money. Definitely think he'll score goals for the right team.
  25. Chilly has two areas he really needs to improve on. One is his crossing, he rarely seems to beat the first man and secondly seems to make some random decisions in defence which could cost us goals. Fuchs is a better player but his form has been poor for a while, so there's currently little between the two. Puel will probably want Chilly's dynamism against weaker teams and Fuchs defensive stability against tougher teams.
