  1. I imagine putting the option in causes a shitload of hassle and negotiation that could in the end, scupper the deal. No option doesn't mean that we couldn't buy him if the player wanted to come here at the end of the loan and we wanted to sign him. Just means there's nothing formal now to put that into place. On reflection, this seems to be an occasion where the club have done the right thing in terms of a player negotiation. If by some miracle we stay in the league, not only will we be financially more stable, we may be more attractive to other targets and not necessarily want to sign this guy permanently. If we do and Brighton want £35m instead of £20m, the fact we'd stayed up, that difference is made up tenfold so it's not too big of a deal. This is decent business.
  2. If he goes to Ipswich or any Prem team, go to the bookies and have a tenner on him to score more than 10 goals. I’ll put a tenner on him to score less than 10. Then i’ll donate my winnings to the Vichai foundation.
  3. He'll surprise more people with how bad he is. Had a good season last year but that was an exception not the norm. He'll revert back to being a bang average Championship striker.
  4. Szmodics will be crap at Prem level. Like Daka crap.
  5. He seems to spit quite a bit when he’s shouting. I know that’s nothing to do with tactics but at this stage, that’s really all there is.
  6. Q. How low can the bar be set in determining the quality of a striker?
  7. We are just crap at everything now.
  8. Really need Coops to start punching the air and gurning at the crowd. I think that’s all he has left.
  9. That was awful in every imaginable way. The thing that worries me the most is how unfit everyone looks. About 15 mins in, they’re all breathing really heavily and looking like they needed to come off. Not a single sub that came on looked capable of anything other than giving the ball away.
  10. Snap. Bad attitude i’ve heard.
  11. If we’d signed Ayew instead of Daka, we wouldn’t have gone down.
  12. I think he’s a good lad with a good attitude. The main issues are he isn’t particularly strong, isn’t particularly quick, not very skilful, hasn’t got an amazing range of passing, can’t really cross and only has a year left on his contract. If we get an offer of anything around £2m, we’d be very silly indeed not to take it. Really good lad though. Like him a lot.
  13. 13 seconds Fax machine Rudders Anderson Perry Etc etc
  14. In fairness, maybe the crossing will improve if they have something to aim at?
  15. Odd one this. Doesn't score goals which for a striker isn't great, however he's a real handful and if he was in the opposing team, I wouldn't be sitting comfortably. With Nacho gone, Vards another year older and Daka being, well Daka, it only leaves Cannon so we could do with some reinforcement in that area. Wouldn't be against this at all.
  16. I mean if he went, we'd have to replace him and it's doubtful we'd get anyone as good for free so we'd be having to lay out £20-£30m. Makes sense.
  17. Even though it’s mentioned alot, I don’t think people give enough credit for that peno. It was how he didn’t even wait a second after it was given to call for the ball. Love him forever for that shit.
