Totally agree with the team they have come uo with!
-
West Brom always manage to sneak a victory at our place (we always win at The Hawthorns!).
-
Their minds are 100% on the FA cup semi-final. Wont win another league game this season.
-
....and all of them attackers!
-
Or even: " ENZO IS THE EST " ie: no plan B
-
How about " O Z N E " ie. Backwards and sideways
-
Still top!

4 mins added - expect a 95th min home winner

I also notice that the best moment from the last dozen games or so (winner vvs Brum) was absolutely NOT enzo ball: a super cross from a winger on the wing (not inverted, converted or contorted) to the far post, where it was met by a brilliant header (yes, header!!!), resulting in a goal (yes - an actual goal!). Oh, the good old days of proper footy!!
-
The style of play IS boring and tedious, but if it gets results, then great! (???). However, it became evident very quickly that there was no plan B. I posted on here a couple of times that a fall-back plan was needed - and, NO, I was not saying hoof the ball up to a giant centre-forward - I was simply saying vary it a bit, and play to the players strengths. Good God! I was called a dinosaur, I knew nothing about football, constant references to 'jumpers for goalposts' and on and on and on. I was only suggesting that we didn't stick rigidly to something that wasnt working - but I sure wished I hadnt bothered!

It's all absolute b******s! Where in this list is the greatest team to play football in the 21st century? ........Leeds United, of course!!
-
...... entering Ipswich time!
-
So how many are Ipswich winning this by?
-
Unlikely that Norwich will get away with Gibson physically lifting and shifting a defender out of the way (for a goal) like last week. Also unlikely is that man-mountain Cameron Burgess commiting Aggravated Assault on a player through on goal, and getting away with it. So 0-0 (@90 mins) Broadhead, Hutchinson and Luongo in injury time. 0-3!

Last minute double- deflection to give Ipswich the win

Agree with your comments re: Vardy. Yes he missed chances (4?) But at least he got himself in the right place to get those chances (He also had a pretty good all-round game IMO). I noticed Salah had 12 (TWELVE!) shots yesterday - he only scored once. Simple maths tells me he missed eleven others, but I'm betting Liverpool fans aren't screaming for him to be dropped. Vardy is in great form - but just had a match where the rub-of-the-green went against him!
-
Just read that Maresca has said it's 4-4-2 with Coady as captain. Also states all five subs will be used in what he has referred to as an "all-out--attacking extravaganza"

Wow! My thoughts EXACTLY! Yes, it did work early on - but we started the season as such a powerhouse anything would've worked! This obsession with doing anything that Pep does is, frankly, ludicrous. We simply do not have the calibre of players to be Manchester City look-alikes! Also, this 'inverted fullback' thing? Anybody would think that Pep has revolutionised football with it. He hasn't. I remember the first game I saw at Filbert Street where I was gobsmacked to see that our main attacking and creative threats came from our brilliant Nº3 - marauding through midfield and dominating the game. (Great memories, Mr Nish, what a player!). Also pretty sure that Emelyn Hughes played a similiar rôle for Liverpool and England. So Not New Pep and Not Amazingly wonderful, Enzo.

But do they?? Seeing the looks on the players faces (notaby KDH and Mavididi) and the body language throughout the team - I have my doubts.
-
Exactly this!! And yet when I suggested, a couple of months ago, that a Plan B was vital - I was lambasted by most of you on here - called a dinosaur and told I didn't understand modern football! I wasn't even suggesting lamping the ball up to a big man à lá Andy Carroll - I was simply saying we needed to have something different to Plan A - ie. something to go to when Plan A was obviously not working!! But, no! Mr Stubborn has to stick to his 'philosophy'; his 'identity'; his 'lets-pretend-we-are-Man.City-but-without-20-of-the-best-players-in-the-world' - hence our embarrasing capitulation.
-
At least they ended the game with 6 atttackers on the pitch to chase an equaliser (and maybe more) - we just changed JV for Mr.Ineffective! (Musn't change the system or the philosophy - who knows? - we may end up losing?!)
-
We'll almost certainly be playing these again this season. A good win here (okay, unlikely with our form / their form) would give us a psychological boost, as we've already thrashed them at their place!!

3rd

So pleased to see JV starting - confident he will keep his run going and will score (mebee more than one??)

Are we all ready for the Sky Leeds-Love-In today??
