Hopefully we have seen the last of the new manager's experiment of playing only 9 outfield players and Soumaré will be left out of the squad altogether (certainly should be on the basis of his last 34 performances). Not sure who should replace him (Hamza? Alves? hopefully Ricky) but an 11 man Leicester should be too strong for Charlton.

0 interceptions 0 tackles attempted 0 fouls committed or won Ffs - he's in midfield - we were playing a committed, aggresive side (McCann alone must've flew into a dozen tackles!). And yet people on here say 'he played well' - 'his best game' - 'there were 10 others worse'. Christ-on-a-bike - the bloke is a total waste of space, we'd be better off playing the kit-man or the tealady. Please, Marti, never play him again; who knows - we may even start winning games!

His team will continue to underperform (and lose matches to average workmanlike teams) as long as he puts Soumaré in the side. A team simply cannot operate with him on the pitch (see results / performances over past 3 years).

Yes. On the evidence of the past 3 years - Soumaré plays - 2 seasons - 2 relegations. Soumaré elsewhere - 1 season - 1 promotion. He appears to be in the new managers plans - so Div 1, here we come.

Along with plenty of others on here, I quite like Marty Cifuentes, and recognise what an absolute shit-show he has inherited. However, if he continues with his experiment of fielding a ten-man team (ie. ten players plus Soumaré) I am going to lose faith pretty quickly.

Agree with the person above who suggested putting Hamza in the side in place of this waster. Failing that - put in Ricardo (c/w wheelchair or crutches). Anything but seeing Soumaré slobbing around the pitch.

Not many will remember but there was a time that we had the leagues' two smallest players in midfield (Kellard & Carling). They were bl**dy BRILLIANT! what they lacked in inches, they made up for in aggression and effort! Superb!

Yes. But Soumaré is VERY short. Short of effort, skill, endeavour, drive, tackling, positioning, football-brain, bravery, accuracy. In fact everything that a footballer should be. And don't get me started on his contribution - what is it now? 0 goals and 0 assists in god-knows-how-many lazy appearances!
